I have tried numerous gels/creams on my fine, thin 3a curls and have never found anything that works better than homemade Flax seed gel with honey. Finally, after receiving this product as a freebee, I was absolutely elated to find something that worked just as good or better than my FSG! Soft, defined curls that are not weighed down. My hair straightens easily and this gel creates a lot of curl! It is thick, but I add about a nickel size amount with a little water into soaking wet hair, scrunch and diffuse. So far, this is my favorite find besides my own FSG. Oh, I think it smells fresh, clean and very appealing.

This stuff completely surprised me. Originally I used a very small amount and got straight stringy hair. Not good. Then I used a grape (large) sized amount and what a difference. It left my curls enhanced and defined--even on my straighter canopy. It held all day and I got 2nd day hair. I added just a bit of a hard hold gel over it (because I usually do and am paranoid about hold!). It is hard to distribute (its only drawback outside of smell which isn't that great to me) but you can either add some other gel to it or a bit of water. Using it on soaking wet hair also helps a lot. Really great curls! They weren't as bouncy but they held fine. Not too producty either. Thumbs way up!

This gel works great for my 3b curls. I have pretty lightweight fluffy curls, so anything too heavy will weigh them down- yuck! This gel doesn't do that if its used correctly. I find that if its applied to soaking wet hair after a little leave in conditioner, it works great! Compared to Deva Curl Arc Angel, its thicker and creamier, and a little sticky. Also, it smells great!

I wasn't all that hopeful when I rubbed this gel between my hands. It didn't spread easily--a bad sign. When I raked it into my hair, my hair became stringy and straight. I had to squeeze my hair together again to get clumps to form. Then, when my hair was dry, it was ratty, producty looking (though it felt soft), and messy-frizzy early on.

This product works! I have 4a curls and this gel does exactly what it says it will do: give frizz-free definiton to curls. My hair is soft with no hard crunch like a lot of other gels that I have used. It doesn't way my hair down. I apply a moisturizing product under it and let it air dry. This is the best gel that I have used thus far.
