I've never tried this as a hot oil treatment, but simply as a hair oil it was average. I didn't think it particularly moisturized or conditioned my hair, and the smell was bordering on medicinal -- not unbearable, but not as nice smelling as some other Carol's Daughter products I've used. Overall, it was mediocre. If I am using an oil, I prefer formulas by Philip B. and Moroccanoil.

This oil is amazing...it makes my hair so soft and is a great sealant...I love the smell

great sealant and dry/itchy scalp reliever. only downside was the strong smell that would stay even on my hands after i used it. but overall it did its job.
