Love this sulfate free shampoo, on my 3b curls!! Does not ever seem to dry out my hair, I use it about every other 2 times I wash. I can't seem to go with only cowashing. Great cleansing shampoo without stripping and awesome price too, at under $3 a bottle!!
This one also has a great price like it's companion, the Nourish Conditioner. Since it has no sulfates, it's ALMOST as good as Organix Coconut Milk Shampoo, which feels and rinses very smoothly. Again, it is a shampoo, and not just an herbal cleanser like DevaCurl or Nature's Gate Herbal Hemp "Shampoo," which are rather gentle on the hair (or in the case of DevaCurl's, actually adds moisture to the hair). Trader Joe's does the job of cleaning the curls alright, but the suds can leave some dryness after washing. Still, not bad at all for the price :) I'm happy enough.
At first I really loved this shampoo, I've been using it for a little over a month now and as time goes on it has a stripping feel to it. Plus I noticed 2 or 3 days after washing, my scalp would start itching. Never had that problem before with other shampoos or conditioners. Don't think I'll be repurchasing this.
This is a really great daily shampoo, and I wish I would have known about this in college, my bank account loves this price!
Even though this is sulfate-free, it's a little too much for me. So here's what I do: I buy this and the matching conditioner (check out the reviews for that, it's the best conditioner ever!) I have two bottles of the conditioner: one is regular, and I use it for conditioning. In the other bottle I have about 1/2 the conditioner, 1/2 water, but then a squirt of the this shampoo, and I use that bottle for washing. This is the best system I've ever used. I'm so happy I found it!
