I like this mousse; I can use it alone in drier weather, or as a midday or 2nd day refresher on dry hair in humid weather. Love the smell too!

I can be really finicky about mousse because it tends to frizz my hair and this one was no exception. It really dried out my hair and left it even more frizzy than it was before applying the product! It also had very little hold. I would only recommend this to people with wavy type hair who don't get very much frizz.

I tried this, I hated the smell, and the tousling mousse. They both seem about the same, except smell. 8 have to be careful what products I use with this. Sometimes my hair looks great, and other times feels horrible and is frizzy.

This leaves your hair dry and sticky, I can just feel it killing my hair as it sits there. Oooh, no. Back to my good ol' natural products.

Yes! This brings actual curl to my wavy hair. It doesn't look crunchy or wet. It lasts all day. I got a compliment on my hair for the first time in my life! Combined with a Tresemme cowash, this is a very affordable and reliable regime. I scrunch a good dollop through my wet hair with a little bit of conditioner and let it air dry. I will buy 100x over.

I am VERY picky about mousses and this one passed my test. Good clumping, good volume, good curl activation and best of all great lasting power. Some mousses just won't last all day and this one did. I also like the shine factor. No frizz or stringy curls. I used a diffuser and was really happy with the results!

This is the best product I've found so far for a reasonable price! Gels just don't work for my hair, so I was happy to find a 'cone free mousse. It gives my fine waves great hold and definition without being too heavy. It dries a bit crunchy, but it's easy to SOTC. Then, it leaves me with shiny, frizz-free waves.

this product is absolutely HORRIBLE it leaves my curls feeling HARD and nappy. I HATE IT. and i did not use a lot to make it that way..i only used a little with my leave in conditioner.. it defined my curls but they were so hard. and my boyfriend loves my curly hair. he plays in it all the time. but when i used this stuff on my hair & he ran his fingers through it i heard a snagging sound! and it hurt. do NOT buy this. also using this my hair puffed out into a bush the next day. a crunchy nappy one. i was only using this prodcut because i was on a budget. and couldnt buy anything GOOD im DONE with it. i prefer eco styler. do not buy it

Just average. It makes my hair feel a little "gritty," but mostly if I use it on 2nd day hair after reapplying FSG. Plus, it doesn't play too well with KCCC.

Used this for the second time this week on water misted hair. Love the shine and the curl. Taking a while to dry, but that's nothing new for my hair. Not at all crunchy first time I used it.

Good for people on a budget. Its not a miracle product, but it works alright. Not much hold on its own so I use it under a gel.

I bought this awhile ago, before I knew what my hair likes, and I tried it again the other day, for the heck of it. When I was in high school in the 1980s, I regularly slept with textbooks, and encyclopedias on my hair to try to tame it. Back then I tried several mousses and their effects were so horrific I hadn't gotten near a mousse since. After trying the Totally Twisted Mousse, I'm not likely to go near one for another 30 years. My "usual" method is to rake my jelly/creme product into my soaking wet hair, after I've applied my leave-in. The first time I tried this mousse, that's how I used it. My hair turned into a flyaway, strawlike substance that curled in different directions, and seemed to be attempting to poke out my eyeballs. I thought maybe it needed to be applied in a different way, so, to be fair, I used this mousse 5x (over a period of a couple of months), and each time I tried applying it a different way: more, less, soaking hair, damp hair, raking, scrunching, plunking...My hair just rejected it. The mousse seemed to leave a semi-sticky coating on my hair, and inspire my hair to frizz into a puff. I got 0 defintion, and 0 hold; just dried out frizzy hair. This mousse doesn't like my curl refresher sprays/cremes, either. When I tried to coax in some definition, I had the straightest, flattest hair I never tried to have. Irony.

I really like this. It definitely made my hair soft, curly, and bouncy :) When your hair is wet, apply a little bit and comb through your hair with your fingers. Scrunch a little bit but then don't touch your hair, or it will cause bad frizz. Also, you can apply this to dry hair, too! I LOVE THAT! I stopped using this regularly, though, because I'm trying to stick to natural products, and this was a bit drying...but if my curls are a little dry, I'll put a little in my hair to give them an extra boost.

This stuff works very well if you know how to use it. I've found it best to absorb some of the water in yuur hair with a cotton t-shirt right after you get out of the shower- then LOAD UP your hands witrh this stuff and rake it through your hair. Put the tshirt back on and squeeze your hair so it doesn't drip. Arrange it how you want it. Then DON'T DON'T DON'T touch!!!!! Hope I helped! I reted thes 4 out of 5 because it dries crunchy, and it doesn't scrunch out well. BUT. SECOND DAY HAIR. :D -AddisonsLionsMane

After applying Herbal Essences Tousle Me Softly Mousse throughout my 2c/3a hair, I will scrunch a little of the Totally Twisted Mousse into my ends for extra definition. Occasionally, my ends will dry a little crunchy/dry; if this occurs, I spray a little of the Tousle Me Softly Spray Gel all over and scrunch out the crunch. Ta-da! Defined yet SOFT wurlies!

LOVE! I was pleased to find a CG friendly, protein and glycerin free product that was readily available, reasonably priced (under $3) and works wonders! I've been using this for about a week now and my curls are very well-defined, bouncy, shiny and frizz-free. I like using mousse because my hair is thick and I feel like using a mousse ensures good coverage with minimal effort. I will repurchase:)

I've tried several mousses, and short of salon quality this one has probably been the kindest to my hair. It helps keep frizz away and doesn't weigh down my hair. However, it earns only 3 stars because it is hard to use with towel dried or air dried hair and works best with a finger diffuser attachment with a blow dryer.

I do like this moose. I have nice curls which I let air dry and scrunch after for a softer look. I tend to get flakes if I use too much. No second day hair for me with this moose.

My 2c/3a curls do NOT agree with this mousse! When hair is wet, it goes in nicely and looks fine. But it gets crunchy and sticky and frizzy as soon as hair is dry. Very disappointed, as this was best of the best 2 years in a row I was expecting better. Good thing it's not pricey.

Pretty good stuff. Doesn't seem to keep down frizz enough though, and the spray thingy keeps coming off or not working. The nice thing about it though is that there is hardly any crunch. Only on a couple areas when I always put too much. I'm 2a/b

The product dries my hair out and makes it very, very crunchy with minimal use (maybe dime sized amount). Additionally, it does not define my curls. Just aggravates my frizz.

A good replacement for Finesse moose, that is no longer carried at my store. It works great when I choose to air dry, a little more poof than I like when I use the diffuser.

If you're a mousse person, this is worth your attention. My hair loves it, but I'm not wild for the slightly crunchy feel it gives me. However, If I'm going for a night out and don't plan to have it..erm...fondled...this always gives me a great look.

I really like this mousse. It gives my super-fine 3B curls just enough hold without weighing them down, and it leaves it super shiny and soft looking. Unfortunately, it dries out my hair somewhat, but I get the best curls ever with this product.

I have 2b/c hair and this stuff really helps bring out the curl. I usually only get waves from air drying but this will give me loose spiraling curls. I scrunch it in or I lose the curl pattern. I also add a light gel over the top or I get too much volume outwards. If you had finer hair you could probably skip the gel, as the mousse would give you volume that you want. ;)
