The smell is wonderful but it feels sticky! It doesn't make my curls POP like I would like it to, but it's nice to use for slicking your edges. It may work better for other curlies, I think it's worth a try.

This gel gives great definition, and smells incredible. I wish it was in a bottle instead of a jar because it's runny. Works best if you only use a small amount & only with other darcy products- tried with over shea moisture and it made my hair look dull. I will be repurchasing - my hair loves darcy's and I think the whole line is my staple.

Very hard to determine right amount to use. Defined my curls very well. Watery serum consistency. Light Citrus smell.

This smelled horrible. I bought it mainly for the smell as well as the fact that it is natural. I bought it because of the reviews posted saying how great it Smelled on other websites. Wow it smelled really bad. Due to the smell I could not use this at all I also bought KCCC and loved that smell so that and MISS Jessie’s Quick Curls are my favorites so far.

I really liked the curl formation I get with this, layered over a leave-in. The scent is light and citrusy. Agree, it can be hard to determine how much to use. But it's natural and non-sticky.

This product left my hair feeling stringy, dry, and frizzy. I personally did not like the strong smell. I used Shea Mosisture deep treatment masque before I applied this jelly, which may have impacted the feel of my hair. Overall I was very disappointed in this product, and will not purchase again. I wonder if the other Darcy’s products have such an off-putting smell as well. I will stick with KCCC.

Day 1: I applied the curling jelly to soaking wet hair over the Darcy's daily vanilla leave-in. I had to use more jelly than recommended in certain areas of my hair. I also applied a small amount of the curly moisturizing pudding throughout my hair and allowed my hair to air dry. As I write this review, I'm on Day 2 hair and it looks great. I sprayed my hair this morning with the Darcy's Botanicals leave-in conditioning spritz, jumped in the shower, and my "bed head" sprung to life. I applied a small amount of the Madagascar vanilla pudding. I give the curling jelly 4 curls because I love the way my Day 2 hair looks and I did not have to apply more product. However, I do not like the smell of the jelly or the Madagascar vanilla pudding and I’m concerned about the label recommendation that says, “use within 8 to 12 months.” Only in the areas where I used more product I did get a little crunchiness but I’m ok with that, the rest of my hair is soft and the curls are really defined.

I give this product only 3 curls because it's really hard to figure out how much to use! It's a little runny and thin so I find myself using a lot and spilling some in the bathtub. I think I much prefer products that come in pumps or squeeze bottles.

Got great curl formation with this. Tricky to determine the right amount to use, however. Too much, and crunch ensues. Too little, and not enough hold.

absolutely no hold on my type of hair. i have fine/soft, REALLY COILY --> COTTONY hair and i need something with a little more oomph. It was quite watery, more than KC Curling Custard. This product if very light compared to what i normally use (Afro Veda Pur Whipped Gelly), so it defines my coils sure, but that has to do with TECHNIQUE (raking) not product. I could rake normal conditioner through my hair and my curls would pop....they just won't stay that way. Same with this product.

So far, this is the only DB product that agrees with my hair. I use a leave-in underneath as its not very moisturising but despite that I found this gel very light, smells lovely (fruity scent) and it distributed easily throughout my hair. And a little goes a long way which makes for a long-lasting product.
