Love it! Great light banana scent! Cleans with minimal stripping! Lathers for a great low poo! My hair feels so luxurious and remains so juicy and moisturized after use! (Don't forget your Rinse Out) No additives needed:) This is one of the only SheaMoisture products without coconut oil, so my scalp isn't allergic either!!!!

I bought this shampoo for my husband, because he has an itchy, dry, flaky scalp. He really likes it for his scalp - he's pretty cheap, but he opts to continue to purchase this $10 shampoo rather than the $4 shampoo he used to pick up at the drugstore/grocery store. So I see that as a win. He says it reduces the itchiness and dryness of his scalp. Recently I also decided to use it as a clarifying shampoo. It works pretty well for that, I think! I don't have itchy scalp issues, so I can't speak to that, but this shampoo does remove buildup pretty well (not as well as a sulfate shampoo, but I've stopped using silicones and mineral oil on my hair so it does well enough to remove the natural-only products I use) and leaves my hair clean and fresh-smelling. I am also crazy about the plantain scent.

This is a great cleanser if you are looking for a deep clean - it removes build up and helps with itchy scalp. I recommend it for once a month usage

I really wanted this to be a 5 curls product for me. Removes build up beautifully. I suffer from scalp psoriasis and my hair feels stripped after using this but my scales are only gone about 3 days. I would have to wash my hair at least twice a week in order to lessen the scales on my scalp but I feel it would strip my hair more.

This stuff is a miracle. I suffer from dandruff that I think was brought on by years of relaxing. It would get really bad in the winter, almost embarrassingly so. Normal dandruff shampoos never had any impact, so I purchased this with great skepticism. I used this once and it was like a miracle! I went to get my haircut and my stylist asked me if I was doing something new because my scalp looked so good. The results are cumulative for me, so the more I used it, the longer I could go between washes without flakes. It is a pretty deep cleaner, so I make sure to use it only on my scalp so it doesn't dry my hair. At this point, I use it 1-2x per month and it maintains a clear scalp. I am also a fan of Shea Moisture black african bodywash and bar soap.

I love love LOVE this shampoo! My scalp is extremely itchy (always has been, but no doubt it was intensified by relaxing), and I have tried everything you can think off. This is the only thing that has worked for me so far. It is a deep cleaning cleanser so it definitely leaves your hair feeling stripped but as long as you follow up with a deep conditioner or their balancing conditioner afterwards, you should be fine. I say use only once a month or as needed, definitely not an everyday cleanser.

I like this brand but I must say I am disappointed. I always put my hair in twists after detangling and combing shampoo or conditioner into my hair. Surprisingly I don't have much of a problem detangling my hair (4b) and do it regularly in the shower again just to get any knots out. Once I put this product in after combing through my hair, did the twists, and jumped in the shower to finger detangle some more, my hair started clumping together and not in a curl defining way, as in it started to snag and tangle completely opposite of before I put the shampoo in. My hair also felt funny. It didn't feel moisturized, but a little scratchy and just outright weird. I'm not used to having my hair feel this way and I couldn't attribute it to the fact that I was shampooing. I checked the ingredients on the label there aren't any sulfates to dry my hair out or make it scratchy. The only reason why I'm giving it 3 is because it did wash the product out of my hair, and it didn't do an entirely disastrous job. All in all this shampoo just didn't react with my hair too well so I will be trying something else.

i give it a 3 just because I like the brand but, everything else about it was disappointing. It did nothing for my dry scalp, it lathered too much, it smells weird, and i wish I had kept my reciept to take it back. One of my top worst decisions to buy on the market. Its up there with treseme, Carol's Daughter, Organix, and Pert.

Smells like a banana Laffy Taffy, it doesn't lather like all of their other shampoos, but it does what it claims it will do, so I'm not complaining!!!

I have 2b, fine, med, porosity, protein sensitive hair. I found this product at my local Walgreen's. After reading the reviews here, I thought I'd give it a whirl. Good stuff for sure. My hair felt clean but not stripped. I would definitely recommend it and will absolutely purchase again.

This shampoo has been the only thing to cure my itchy scalp. I will admit it can leave the hair dry if you don't follow with an extremely hydrating conditioner. I use the companion conditioner and then Sojourn Smooth as a leave-in.

I bought this shampoo for my dry scalp, and even though it kind of worked it didn't blow me away. And it didn't make my hair soft either. I won't be purchasing this again. I did like the smell though.

I wanted to like this shampoo however it made my itchy/dry scalp worse. My scalp would feel irritated and itchy after use and my hair felt stripped. I guess I'm the odd one as this shampoo was so highly rated by others.

I like it. I like it a lot. At first it felt too sticky in my hands to be like "shampoo" but then the lather it created was out of this WORLD, which is funny because it's sulfate free. Nothing else has gotten my scalp feeling less dry while not stripping at the same time. AND it seemed like it removed build up that may have been left over from cones!! (I may be pushing that last one). Regardless, it's amazing for more than 3c hair; I recommend ANYONE with a dry, itchy scalp and dry hair tries it.

Ppl, if you are allergic to Coconut as I am then THIS IS THE SHAMPOO FOR YOU!!!! it was almost impossible to find a shampoo for me that doesnt contain coconut to the point where I had to start making my own, and I am just too lazy for that,LOL.I was fortunate enough to find a full bottle for swap at a Natural Hair Gathering.I have 3C-4A hair and I love the way it cleanses my hair. 12 fl oz for under $10.00 is the icing on the cake. I will definately be buying.
