It was sort of annoying that the directions say "apply to towel blotted hair then leave in for 3 minutes and rinse". Who steps out of the shower to towel blot their hair only to leave in a conditioner for THREE minutes? So I used it in the shower on soaking wet hair like *regular* conditioner - Did NOTHING for my hair. I practically had to use half a bottle to get any sense of slip. Ended up mixing it with my more reliable Aussie Moist. BUT THEN I used it on damp hair (which is what "towel blotted" really is, they just don't want you to use it on sopping wet hair, I assume) and it was AWESOME!! I spritz my hair with water and add this conditioner to finger detangle before I hop in the shower. SO MUCH SLIP when my hair is only damp. Don't know why the slip vanishes if your hair is very wet, but oh well. I am NOT a finger detangler, but this made it so easy!! It weighs down my my curls/coils so I can pull them apart and remove any tangles. Rinses out decently. Not amazing softness afterward. All in all, if you follow the directions it should work, but I like multipurpose conditioners. It needs a very specific scenario to perform at its best, so only 3 curls rating :/

This was an ok conditioner nice ingredients, but not enough slip though for my 4a/3c texture.

I really wanted to love this conditioner because of all the great ingredients that were listed on the label. I chose to cowash my hair with this product but also grabbed a bottle of my Carol's Daughter Monoi Conditioner just in case this Design Essentials didn't give me enough slip. Luckily I did because this conditioner left my hair feeling dry and a tangled mess. I could not put a comb through my transitioning hair. After lathering up and trying my hand at detangling, I had to rinse this out and apply my tried and true Monoi conditioner. Ughhh!!! I would not recommend this product because it has absolutely no slip and fails to leave your hair moisturized. Even after deep conditioning, my hair still felt dry.

This conditioner smells amazing but does nothing for your hair. It felt like it was just sitting on top of my hair, had no slip. It is too thick to be in a bottle and takes forever to get out of the bottle. All around flop.

I don't understand how the rest of the line is on point and this isn't. I have to use a lot, just to feel like I am getting some conditioner on my hair. Then when it's on, I feel the need to add a conditioner staple to it. for my texture I need to feel my hair coated in product, or feel like my hair has some slip. I feel neither with this. I don't understand.
