I'm very pleased with this product. Gels don't work well in my hair, for the most part, but this isn't an ordinary gel. This is kind of a combo of cream, liquid, and gel. It looks like a light blue milkshake. I find the blue color off-putting, but that's just esthetics; this does not leave a blue tint in hair. This styler is especially good for my "canopy" because it encourages curl formation and it has very good hold. It's not crunchy, but it dries slightly hard. The slightly hard texture is worth dealing with, because of the good curl formation results. My hair is curly everywhere but the "canopy" part right on top of my head. There are days when I feel like my hairstyle resembles a strange attempt at a Daniel-Boon-hat style mullet, or, worse, an orange troll-doll-frizz yarmulke. Purity design works extremely well on completely dry hair (fuzz) by instantly taming it and defining the curls. This is a highly concentrated liquid, and a little goes a long way. One bottle will probably last me a year!
