i use the moroccanoil shampoo, conditioner, oil, and this. my hair has always felt like straw. the first time i bought it, i ran out of all the conditioner 3(ish) months later. i had no other conditioner in my shower so i decided to try the impossible.. low and behold i could easily brush through my thick, 2c/3a hair using only the shampoo! i went back to my hairdresser for my normal trim and she expressed how amazing my hair felt. this was a first for me.. i always dreaded having her brush through my hair after a washing until then. my hair has never felt so healthy. looking at pictures it is visibly healthier and shinier also. it is so lightweight and i get SO MANY compliments on the smell after simply standing beside someone. the results are not instant but do not take very long at all. my aunt is a hair dresser so i just have her pick it up for me at the beauty supply shop.. it saves a little bit of money, but it is well worth the price!!

Even though I try to avoid some of the ingredients in this product, I'm giving it the highest rating, because it's really remarkable if you need what it delivers. From my own use, I'm thinking that Curlies wanting LOTS of body would adore this cream. This is almost like a gel-cream, and it squirts out of its pump in a thin, snakey line. It's not too highly concentrated, so it's fine to use a generous amount. The first time I tried this, I diffused my hair for a bit, assuming this would help my hair to be fully dry in about 5 hours... I must say, for a cream, this begins to dry remarkably fast. Even with a diffuser, my hair quickly began puffing out into poofs, instead of swirling into curls. The shorter hair on my crown looked like I'd styled it into a bouffant; like one of those wigs for I Love Lucy costumes. Not a good look for me. After a couple of minutes, I didn't even want to see the end result, so I rewet my hair and air-dried. Much better. Elongated soft curls that weren't expanding in completely different directions. On the occasions when I do use this cream, I have to plan way ahead, because it has to be air-dried. This does allow nice curls to form, and it makes my hair feel amazingly silky. It's the kind of soft that makes me think, "Here comes the frizz," but the frizz doesn't come (as long as I avoid heat-drying). I think the best thing about this product is that is has an outstanding ability to control frizz - without additional gel, etc. With this, my curls can hold their shape for two-day/three-day styles, easily. Even in very dry conditions, this keeps my hair feeling smooth and resilient. This contains dimethicone, which is an ingredient I avoid in almost every other product I own. However, there are days when "glycerin" is more problematic for me than 'cones, and it's really, really hard to find another frizz-controlling curl cream that doesn't contain glycerin. Overall, this cream seems to protect my hair from environmentally induced dryness. It definitely helps it not to tangle, or get crackly, and the dimethicone is probably responsible for some of the silky, strong feeling this gives my hair. When I wash with a hair cleanser like Kinky Curly, I don't feel any build-up, so I'll use this a day or two before "wash day", just to be on the safe side. Personally, I wouldn't use this every time I do my hair, because I honestly feel like it leaves a coating over my hair. I don't want to risk drying-out my hair too much, plus I live in an arid climate. (In humid climates this coating is probably helpful, if it repels moisture from your hair.) The thing I like the least about this cream is the very, very heavy, perfumey fragrance. If I get the cream too close to my eyes, they get red and itchy. I prefer that the fragrances of my hair products dissipate quickly. This cream is like wearing heavy perfume, for me, and my hair seems to hang on to the scent, sometimes even after cleansing. The fragrance is pretty; very feminine, and floral, but it's highly concentrated, and it really gets cloying. If you're looking for something highly moisturizing that adds lots of body, has good hold, and great frizz control, you should definitely give this a try. But if you have sensitivies to fragrance, make sure you sample it, and test it on a small part of your skin before you buy it, just to be on the safe side.

I have 3a hair, and have been using this product for a year. It is light, and doesn't leave my hair crunchy or greasy. However, the company seems to have reformulated it under the new name "Curl Defining Cream," and the newer version contains silicone, which I've been trying to avoid.

My stylist used this on my hair yesterday and my hair looks great. The only problem is the smell. I absolutely hate it. If they had another scent I would use this everyday no problem. It adds nice volume to my thin hair, the definition is great, and it's nice and soft. If you can get past the scent it's a wonderful product.

i absolutely love this stuff. my hair seems to decide it's just DONE with a product after about a year of use, but this one's going strong. my hair is a 3a when left to air dry, or a 3b when dried with a diffuser- both styles turn out salon perfect with this. my only beef with this is second day hair- the curls are sort of deflated and frizzy. devacurl's curl reactiving spray perks them right back up, though. as for the scent- it IS super strong, but so is every other moroccanoil product. pretty delicious.

I've been using this for almost a year on my hair and I'll never go back to anything else. This lets my hair be controlled but not crunchy and my hair is shiny and healthy. I especially like how light it is. I have androgenic alopecia and after I'm done using my Rogaine, it's nice to have a product that won't weigh my hair down too much. Highly recommended for curly girls. :-)

I love this stuff! My stylist used it on my hair last week and I was so impressed that I had to buy it to try at home. It is perfect for my hair as it keeps it soft and not crunchy. I live in Texas which is hot and humid and this product really stands up well to this weather. It is worth the money. I tried Devacurl products, but prefer this instead.

Hair type: 3b fine thin hair This product is great for not weighing hair down, defining the curl, and controlling frizz. I like this product because it is easy to use. I can go the gym in the morning carry it in my bag, section my hair in four and put a little product along with water on my hair, twirl, and let it hair dry and have fabulous hair all day long.

Wow! The Curl Control Cream really works great to add volume and definition. The secret is to use quite a lot of it and then diffuse-dry your hair about 75%, allowing the rest to air dry. Presto! Beautiful, well-defined ringlets—a curly girl's dream!

The best product I've ever used. My curls were bouncy and defined! The scent is heavenly. It's pricey, but a little does go a long way. I have thick and long curls...I just wish this product was also good for touch ups on dry hair. It will make hair greasy/gummy if used on dry hair.

I absolutely hated it. My hair was a frizzy mess and made the curls limp. Worst of all, the smell was heinous. It smelled like cheap "old woman" perfume. I ended up rewashing my hair a few hours later to get it all out.

Works great, smells great. And you don't need to apply anything on your second day hair. It doesn't makes it oily, but enough to work by itself till second day. It is pricey, however you don't need a lot of it.
