Has 'calmed down' my 3B/C curls. Seems to lengthen them but still let them be curly and they are not frizzy. On its own, my hair will spring back about 5" if you stretch it out and let go and hang right above my shoulders - with this treatment it now hangs a little below my shoulders. It slightly reduced the curl but did not straighten it when I diffused/air-dried it - which was just what I wanted. I did not want 'straight' hair. Might really be a 5 curl product for me but it's fall - if it cuts my frizz in the humid southeast summers then I'd change it to 5 stars. If you have areas of your hair that are not as 'tight' curly - you might want to ask about processing those areas for less time or not at all (we did all of my hair for the minimum 15 minutes). My bangs are not 3B/C - they are more a wavy "2" category and this took quite a bit of spunk out of them (but they still are not 'straight'). I can see me doing this treatment again and if I do then I'll probably tell her not to treat my bangs at all.
