I like this stuff. I recently decided to start using shampoo again - CG friendly of course - because I felt the ACV rinses and co-washing weren't cleansing well enough. I purchased this without checking here first - otherwise, I would've purchased from the EverCurl line. I will do that this weekend so I can compare. Anyhow, I was impressed. The shampoo gives a good lather, which is surprising given it's sulfate free. A little goes a really long way. I need no more than a pea sized amount for my entire head. The smell is heavenly and the product rinses out without leaving my hair feeling stripped.
I tried doing co-washing, but felt I needed something a tad stronger every few days or so. I bought this shampoo because of it not having silicones and being "Sulfate-free". Technically, it has much less harsh sulfates in it. It works REALLY well on my porous fine 3B curls. It smells nice and has lasted quite a while for me. I didn't have any problems with it not lathering well. :)
Decided to try this product and didn't like the drying feeling it left on my hair. My hair did not feel moisturizing at all and so I took it back to cvs and got a refund.
This stuff smells really nice. Some people are complaining that it's creamy and doesn't lather as well... but that's cus there's no sulfate in it. (I personally dislike sulfate because it's terrible for hair health) I don't think this product really smooths my hair the way it claims it will, but I still like it enough to use it. This is definitely not for girls with oily hair as it won't dry out your scalp and strip away extra oil like most shampoos will. In my case (I have dry hair) that's great but I do understand if that's not what some girls are looking for in a shampoo. This is not my favorite sulfate-free shampoo but may still be worth the shot for some girls. Check out the other shampoos from the Ever collection (EverPure, EverCreme, EverStrong) and you might find one that's most suitable. I personally like Everpure and as a conditioner Everstrong is nice (but good to use with some thicker stuff as well)
My hair is 3A, non porous and fine, this shampoo seems to make my hair feel dry and it doesn't feel clean. Seems like there is a film on my hair, won't be using it anymore. I used this 3 times over the last few weeks to give it a try. Not for me.
I'm really enjoying this product! It has a great smell and it lathers even though it is a sulfate free formula. I feel like it cleans my hair well but doesn't leave it stripped and dry. I would recommend this to a friend and I would purchase again for myself! =)
I was expecting to like this more than I did because it was creamier, but I didn't like it that much. It wasn't super tangling, but my hair felt pretty dry and stripped after using it.
Though it smelled awesome, I found the shampoo to be bazzarely thick. When I lathered up and rinsed, my hair felt rubbery as if it left some sort of film on my hair. Not cool.
Just bought this and used it today - as it is sulfate and silicone free it is curly girl friendly. The shampoo is great for cleansing without stripping hair of natural oils. It smells great too! I am using it with the conditioner and the leave in creme (which I also highly reviewed!). Great price and easy to get where I live.
Gotta love this for the price. I love the lather that it provides -- it makes me feel like my hair is getting really clean, all the while knowing that the ingredients are stripping my hair.
I love this shampoo! It lathers extremely well, and smells delicious, making me feel like I'm using a fancy salon shampoo. The best part is the way it cleans my hair without stripping it of moisture. I use it with the Intense Smoothing Conditioner and I love the way my curls look -- bouncy, shiny, and frizz free!
