This product is a good product for my 4c hair. But for me is not as moisturizing as the Almond Jai Twisting Butter. But for twistouts it does give me more hold and definition in comparison to the Almond Jai Twisting Butter.
This product is just ok for me. Maybe it will be better in the winter time went a heavier cream is needed. It does moisturize at first but by the end of the day my hair feels dry and i have to add nore plus seal with JBCO. I will try n give it another chance when the climate is cooler cuz with the humidity it also has no hold
This has become my holy grail for moisture. It keeps my hair soft and moisturized for days. I will have to keep this in stock because my hair loves it. I try not to layer too many products on my hair because it is so fine so I need products that I can give me good results without having to cocktail or layer. This is one of those products! Love it!
This stuff is the bomb!! I've always been a fan of Camille Rose products due to them not having glycerin in them, but I've never tried the Curlaide until last month. I'm so glad I did, my hair is so soft and moisturized with this product. Keep up the good work Camille!
This is the best moisturizer, curl definer I have EVER used in my 5.5 years with natural hair. I have 4A hair and my twist outs always come out amazing with this stuff. Not only does it moisturize, but it also seems to lock in the moisture as well. I experience minimal shrinkage and get to enjoy some hang-time for more than the first day! It is a staple in my L.C.O method. First, I detangle with Jane Carter Revitalizing Leave-In, Apply the C.R. Moisture Butter, and Seal with either EVOO, Castor Oil or even Blue Magic hair grease. I'm only sad I just discovered this a few months ago. Highly recommend!
My hair always feels very moisturized after I use this product. However, I feel that it is a bit too heavy for my hair when I use it for a wash n go. (For a wash n go I would recommend using the Curl Love Moisture Milk from this line.) I find that I like this product better for re-moisturizing several day old hair with water or as a moisturizer when I am doing a bun or other protective styles.
My review is in regards to the current version of this product that's out at this time. I have naturally very dry, 3b curls. Firstoff, this product actually has the consistency of a whipped, heavy cream and not a true butter consistency at all. It has a yummy scent to it, but I do not find it to be overpowering at all. I have used small amounts of this product as a leave in underneath Camille Rose Naturals Curl Maker, and I have used it throughout the week to revive and re-moisturize my wash n go as needed. I do not use it as a styler, as it provides no hold, therefore for me, it works best used in conjunction with gel. I do find it to be very moisturizing to my curls. Also, it is very easy to apply and distribute throughout my hair, and I have never experienced it leaving my curls looking ashy or white in spots due to the product not fully sinking into my hair. Because alot isn't needed, due to how moisturizing this product is, I definitely recommend using small amounts of it at a time in your hair and simply adding a bit more as needed. If you have very dry curls, this product will be perfect for you.
This made my hair dry and brittle; I love all the Camille Rose Natural products and am surprised that my hair did not like this one.
First time I used it I was not a fan. My hair felt dry the next day. So I gave up on it. I then applied it to dry hair on day when I just needed a pick me up after I ran out of Fresh Curl and I fell in love my hair felt really moisturized for days. I love her products
I bought this product about two months ago. I must admit that when I first used it I wasn't happy and wanted to return it. I used the product on freshly washed soaking wet hair and it became very runny. It seemed as though I had not used product at all. I started using other products and pushed this one to the side. In a turn of events I ran out of leave-in's! This was the only thing I had left and I had no choice but to use it. When I used it again I tried it on dry hair and It smelled funny on my hair as someone previously mentioned. I would say that it smells slightly fishy. It might be the rice milk and green tea but I'm not sure. I now use this butter on damp hair and honestly it is amazing. My hair feels very moisturized and soft, I don't need to use an oil to seal my ends, and lastly I am not overwhelmed by a strong fragrance but my hair still smells great (3c hair).
it smells great in the jar, but has kind of a funny smell on the hair even when I use it alone. I'm not 100% sold on it because it doesn't sink that well into my low-porosity hair, but when I used it on dry hair for a twist out it came out really soft. It's easy to be heavy-handed, though, and it gets greasy if you use too much.
I like to use this product when I moisturize and seal my hair, it makes it soft and smells great too.
I think I'm in love. This melts right into my hair leaving it moisturized not greasy.definitely will repurchase when I get low. I would love to explore the rest if the brand.
I am currently transitioning 9 months and counting .. I am not sure of my hair type but believe I am a mix of 3b ,3c & 4a .. The last two or three months of my transition had been a struggle to obtain and maintain moisture!! I am in love with this product it was the first product I tried that actually provided my hair with super moisture and left it very soft for days... I love the smell it's like vanilla cake cup it just a delicious smell !! I am very please with the Camille Rose line it's a must try for transitioners and naturals!!
very moisturizing. With this product you only need a little bit per section to get amazing moisture without greasiness or a film. It is very whipped so it easily spreads onto the hair and it has amazing slip so getting each section smooth prior to twisting or braiding is easy.
This product was such a disappointment, , I've heard such positive things but i didn't get good results.on wet hair it made my hair dry, matted and caused it to shrivel up.it felt great going on but once dried it a nightmare.on dry hair it was ok. It made my hair have a strange texture that i didn't like also didn't absorb well just sat there.if i leave it on over night it does give me some softness but causes my hair to look gross and just bad.if i use it to moisturizer my hair after taking my twist down it ruins my twist out.it also gives me hard hair if i try using it to twist on dry hair.I may use it as a pre poo because i can detangle with it. It makes a wonderful lotion though,i enjoy the cake smell.
I use this on my daughter's super thick, curly 4a hair. Amazing results. Shiny and moisturized for days. Twists looks especially plump and shiny. I also use it to slick back my hair. I put on my head scarf and my edges and fly aways are smooth and in place.
I love this moisture butter. The smell is sweet like... gardenias. And its not overwhelming. It adds great moisture and makes my hair uber soft. There's a lot in the 8 oz. so a little goes a long way. Its also a thick creamy butter.
I have 4b hair and I have been searching and searching for a moisterizer and by golly I found it!!! I love this stuff. I did a flat twist out and I was able to get second day hair that was still moisterized. Wow! I mixed this with her aloe vera gel and this is a staple and it will be added to my holy grail. Bomb.com! Also I like the scent and the texture is perfect not too thick or thin.
This moisture butter is one of the best I have ever used and I have used them all! My 4c hair felt super soft without feeling greasy. It does exactly what it say leaves your curls bouncy and silky. This will for sure be my new staple product.
