I have been using this product for about four months now and I totally love it! It does not work as well in my children's hair but it is not a total fail! It leaves my curls well defined and soft!
I have 3b hair and I use this product half-way through the day if my hair is feeling dry. I use the one for kinky curly hair (made by the same company) as a leave-in in the mornings. I live where there is little to no humidity, so my hair drys out easily. So this is product a great reviver on problem days.
awesome leave in. Smells great. But my hair keeps on getting lighter every time i use it. Is it the chamomile? Oh well. I like the product and it supports great causes in Togo, West Africa
I have 4a curls and they love this stuff it has great slip, it is CG friendly and I can usually get it here in GSO, NC on sale at Whole Foods or somewhere . Permanent staple for me plus I love the smell:)
I used to use this religiously and love it, but I've kind of fallen out of love. It's good sometimes, but other times you need a lot to moisturize, and too much can leave your hair greasy.
I used to use this and the shampoo every other day when I first discovered I was curly last year, and it was OK, but my hair was dry. I think I was shampooing way too often and not applying enough of this. Now, I cowash, apply a generous dollop of this leave-in to towel-blotted hair, and then I scrunch in a quarter-sized puddle of the BC defining gel. It makes my hair so soft, and the slip is great. I clarify with the shampoo about twice a week, too. I am so glad I revisited these products :)
I got this when it was on sale for $8 at whole foods. I would not say I love it .. but I definately like it. It moisturizes well and I like the smell a lot. It seemed a little thin wateryish so I have to use a lot. It was not thick enough for me. But the ingredients are great and CG!
This somewhat conditioned my 3b-3c hair. One word for this product would be mediocre. I was disappointed in the product and the amount of moisture my curls got. The smell is too sweet for me.
Sad that it took me so long to try this. Wonderful leave in, detangles effortlessly, lightweight, moisturizing, and smells nice. I know some people don't like the scent but I love it, wouldn't mind smelling it in my hair after applying, but it's pretty light and goes away fast.
I love this leave in. It is lightweight , but really moisturizes my hair. I had some heat damage in the front and that part had gone really limp until I started using this product along with the shea butter oil from the same line. My damaged pieces have come back to life. I will definitely go out and buy more when I run out. The only negative is that it kind of smells like black licorice, but the smell goes away as your hair dries. I put this in my hair while I'm still in the shower and that seems to give best results. Hair must be soaking wet.
I like this product because it is thicker and richer than other leave-in conditioners I've used. I have moisture issues with my hair and I usually find myself over-saturating my hair with spray bottle leave-ins. I applied this product to my wet hair and was pleased with the amount of moisture my hair retained. My only issue with this product is the odor, but it usually fades once your hair dries. I would definitely use this product again in the future.
This is my HG! In the summer, I used this with the shampoo and had great . However, I switched products for a while when I started getting flakes and when I went CG. My conditioner was leaving build-up. =As I was looking through my old pics, I realized that with all the ones where I had great hair, this is what I was I was using. Now I'm back on it. I use this as my cowash and style with KCCC, and I clarify with the shampoo once a week. This is awesome for my 2b/2c hair. :)
This product is very lightweight, and unscented, besides that slight fragrance that usually goes away after the hair dries. You MUST use this product on wet hair, or else it'll lay flat on the top of your hair and it's just gross. Honestly, the product itself isn't bad, it's pretty good, not fantastic, but good. My curls are actually a little more defined, very noticeably defined , and my hair is left soft and moisturized, not crunchy at all.
lightweight leave in. like another reviewer said, nothing to write home about. nice slip, mild fragrance.
This product isn't something to write home about, but it gets the job done. I like the smell, I like that its light-weight and doesn't weigh the hair down. It does provide some slip as well. I did not find it overly moisturizing or drying. However, there wasn't anything stellar about it. Just yeah, ok its a leave-in. I will finish what I have, but doubt if I run to the stores looking for it again. However, I have noticed lately that "true" leave-ins are rare and for that reason alone, I would try to find this one. As I know it is truly formulated to be used solely as a leave-in.
I applied this leave-in to my hair while still wet from washing. It was already detangled so I can't speak to the amount of slip it gave. It is light and not overly greasy and my hair absorbed it well so it just didn't sit on top of it. It could have been more moisturizing but it was more moisturizing than Kinky-Curly Knot Today, which is my usual leave-in for my WnGs. It has a light smell - not my favorite scent but the smell gets lighter as time goes by. I will continue to use this until it's gone but not sure if it will be something to keep buying. I find that what moisturizes my hair the best is vegetable glycerin so I compare everything to that. For my hair type it might be a product that has to be layered - meaning I might have to try something more moisturizing on top of it. Not the best I've used but most definitely not the worse.
