I really do like this brush! Before it took me 2hrs plus to detangle my thick 3c hair with a wide tooth comb! I bought this brush for $45 ! Yessss lol i paid that much im from trinidad so thats prob why it was so pricey with all the exchange rate. But i give it four stars nevaiae yeah wats the name of the lipstickwhen it comes to big knots andyangles it juat soesnt get it right ouy ! Sometimea i have to ho on with a vomb! Oberall great tool
Love this brush, I was skeptical about it for a long time and put off getting it, but it's awesome! On my hair it only works wet, I read some people are able to use it on dry too, but maybe their is thinner, shorter and less curly than mine, it's too small and pins are too flexible for me on dry, but then this is exactly what makes it great for use on wet. But on wet, to brush through conditioner and then leave in conditioner, it's amazing and I actually prefer it now to combs, even though I was very happy with combs I've been using. Even though it's a brush somehow I lose much less hair when I use it during washing, like barely any, while with combs there was more. Also I like it because when hair dries after using it I end up with more volume and lift at the roots, so even when using heavier conditioners and oils/butters this brush keeps hair from falling flat. When I first used it I noticed a strong rubbery scent to it, but after a couple of uses it went away. Definitely recommend.
This is now our favorite brush (The Aveda paddle brush and the denman used to be our go-to de-tangling brushes). We only brush my dd's 3b hair when it is wet and full of conditioner, but it can still be a challenge. The back of her hair gets very matted and has a cotton-candy texture after being slept on. The wet brush makes it MUCH easier to de-tangle! It can really only do one layer at a time, so I do small sections of hair, but it works really well and my dd does not dread de-tangling sessions.
[EDIT: I have now realized that my breakage and tangling problems were due to my conditioner having almost no slip! Sorry Luxor! Your brush is great!] I first got this brush at the recommendation of my stylist, who did an AMAZING job on my hair. The first time, I used it incorrectly (started at the roots instead of the bottom) and my hair is still recovering from the massive breakage that occurred. I have tried the proper brushing method now, as I had to go to the end of the Earth to find it and really wanted it to work, and the breakage has gone down but is still happening, even with tons of conditioner. I can hear my hair ripping! Perhaps it's because my hair is porous and far more fragile. This got 2 curls instead of 1 solely because of the magic my stylist worked with it.
This brush didn't do it for me. I used it in my daughter's 4a/b hair, hoping it would make the experience of detangling a more peaceful one. It did, but only because it really didn't do anything. I'm sure it was made to be gentle on delicate curls, and I totally understand that, but I feel like the bristles needed to be a bit more sturdier to actually grab the hair to detangle. It work through her hair only superficially and didn't do much to penetrate into her hair to do any detangling. Perhaps I'll try it again, but this time just to smooth out her hair when it's already detangled...
At first impression I was actually scared of this brush BUT I gave it a try and I absolutely loved it! It detangled my 4a/3c hair with no problems at all. I loved this better than the tangle teezer and denman brush.
Seriously amazing brush. I have always had tangles after conditioning and rinsing, but this just glides through my hair. Definitely will have this on hand at all times!
