I really enjoy this gel. It makes my hair shinier than usual (which I like) and my curls are always their softest after I use this. The smells is nice. Nice amount of gel for a cheap price. When I put it onto my wet and conditioned hair, I can feel it getting a little hard right away but I like that because it lets me know how evenly I have distributed the product and even afterwards, I hardly have any crunch to scrunch out. Minimal frizz. My curls hold together well. Would definitely repurchase but I may try a different type of Ecostyler next time just to compare. :)

One of the best gels out there, cheap, smells clean, does the job, doesn't flake, doesn't feel crispy and makes my curls very defined. If it doesn't work for you your either protein sensitive, or just ain't doing something right. I had heard about these gels quite a bit and didn't really bother to get any for the longest time.I picked this gel up on a total fluke and got it on sale at Sally's for three bucks. This was my first every Ecostyler gel and I love it. The key here is how it is used. I use this gel on dripping wet hair. Its best to use it over a leave in/really moisturized hair for best results, I flip my head upside down and I use about a half dollar sized amount on my entire head. Spread it on your hands and rub until its well distributed and scrunch. Then once its dry scunch out the crunch if you have any ( I usually do if I use a bit much). I plopped for five minutes and diffused cause I was in a rush and boy did I get compliments on my hair that day. It washes out easily and it is also UV blocking and cruelty free- even better. This would be a staple but I'm a product junkie, so this will last me FOREVER.

Love all of them! I love the fact that I can get a big tub without breaking my pockets; have olive oil or argan oil. And keeps my coily hair defined, non flaky, and none of those harsh ingredients! Will forever use this for gel!

Love it. It's one of my staple products. At first, I was hesitant to buy it because, like other gels, I was afraid it would make my hair really hard and leave residue, but, surprisingly, it didn't. The "maximum hold" it claims to have isn't really that maximum at all and it's actually just the perfect amount of hold to slick down my edges. It leaves my hair soft and quite manageable.

Love this gel. Gives shine and works well over top of my curl enhancing smoothie. Elongates my curls without too much crunch.

Best thing ever... Defined curls and dry shiny. I used it with a leave in and oil. It will dry hard if used alone. Try not to used a lot.

The only good think was the smell, and its ability to slick my edges down. I live in an extremely humid area (Souther Louisiana), and the hold was not too good for my braidouts. My hair would revert/poof out as soon as I walked outside for a bit. Not too crazy about it either when it comes to wash n goes, due to making my hair too hard even if I use conditioner or moisturizer under it. I think that I'm going to try the Eco-Styler Pink next, when it comes to wash n goes..which has a lesser hold.

Loathe this stuff, I think I might be the only person on the planet that cannot stand these gels! I have extremely thick hair, but even for me this felt far too thick when I applied it to my hair. No matter what moisturising leave in I put in underneath, my hair would feel look dull and frizzy and incredibly dry. I tried mixing it with the curl enhancing smoothie by Shea moisture, as well as using that combo on top of my staple leave in. What started off looking more moisturised just ended up with the same results. One plus is it is extremely good value for money, however by me having to use more leave in and mix it with other products just to try and obtain hair that doesnt feel like straw, I end up either spending more money, or spending a lot more time on my wash and go's only to get unattractive results. Gimme KCCC any day.

My fav for smoothing my edges!! Never hard or flaky. Used all over when I BC'd, & loved it. Now, only on my edges. Another staple product!

Great gel that I can consistently get 2nd day hair from. The downside to this gel is that it is hard to distribute. This can be worked around by using a little water or super soaking. This is a gel that I would def. recommend

Big fan! I love this gel, it smells like apples to me. It doesn't dry my hair out and its wonderful for providing hold for my edges (that is, if I use a scarf to tie it down after application). I have used it 3 or 4 times when shingling and it was pretty awesome! I had to experiment to get the right product combination to get definition and hold but its great. Some advice I would offer to those wanting to mix this with something else (as I have stated on another hair forum) before putting this in your hair with another product, mix it with that product on the back of your hand. If it clumps and forms cottage cheese-like residue then that is what will end up in your hair. If it smooths out, then it should play nice in your hair, too!

When I did my BC this was the highly talked about gel to turn to for all my styling needs and when I saw the under $5 price I was sold. But once I used the product I kept getting FLAKES, FLAKES, FLAKES...for hold its great on my hair (but flakes by the next day or two), for wash and go's my hair HATES IT (my hair dries with white flakes everywhere, I tried it with multiple leave-in products and by its-self and still get the same result flakes). Not to mention the fact it DRIES my hair out without fail. I would not dare knock anyone using the product BUT as for ME and MY hair its a NO NO.

I love this. You can buy it in huge tubs from Sally's and it's 3 to 4 bucks. I use this for wash and go, natural ponies and to lay down edges. It may get crunchy when it dries just scrunch it in your hands and wallah, problem solved. Best stuff ever!!!

Fantastic for twists-outs. Be sure to use a barrier between your hair and the gel first. If not, it may dry to stiff.
