This product was not the best for my hair. I didn't like how much it did not prevent hair shrinkage. I also noticed my hair does not get as moisturized as it does with a few other products. I would not purchase this product again unless it's my last resort.

I gave this product a 4 becuase of the hold. However if this is not applied to damp or wet hair it will cause flakes. the first time i used it i thought i had really bad dandruff. After a co-wash and the LOC method i mixed this with some olive oil and got better results and curls that were nice and fluffy. This product was okay but i am not sure that i will re-purchase in the future. The smell of this product was awesome and the consistency of it was similar to a hair butter.

I really did not truly like this product. One, it does not cut shrinkage too much after it is dried out. I think it smells nice, and gives hair a nice shine without looking greasy. I would recommend for looser hair than 3c

I have to change up my products quite a bit because my hair has ADHD (no offense to anyone out there). I bought this at CVS, and I am thrilled with the results. I agree with other reviews that the smell is not my favorite, but better than most of the Oyin products. After I co-wash my hair and rinse out the conditioner, I put this in, wrap a cloth around my head, and let it sit there for a while. The next morning, my hair is incredibly soft and moisturized. For me, it doesn't work when I put it in my dry hair, but for a conditioner, it works brilliantly.

I love this product! I apply this to my hair after every wash for my twist. It has a great hold, and my curls last all day and they aren't too greasy. I will be purchasing this product again!

I love this stuff! I tried it for the first time along with the leave in conditioner and was blown away! My hair was super soft, shiny and shingled easily without much manipulation! I will never use another product ever again!

I purchased his product because I was trying to move away from gels - now that my hair is long. I don't have a strong curl pattern to my hair. This product did very little to define my curls, but I loved the shine and softness that it gave my hair. I also tried it under the Curls Unleashed Curl Boosting Jelly, and it was just okay. I have a lot of shrinkage, and this product does help to elongate. I untwisted 4 day old twists, and applied this product directly on my hair, underneath my Fantasia IC Hair Polisher Styling Gel. With the toothbrush, this helped me to super-smooth my edges, gave my hair a "relaxed" look, and my hair was less crunchy. This was not cheap, so I will not throw it away. I will continue to experiment. Not sure if I will keep on my favorite products list, so not sure if I would purchase again.

well i wanted to get some eco styler gel and my mom saw this and she bought it. That's how i found it. Too bad it was the day before thanksgiving, and my mom wanted to do my hair the next day.Not the best choice. My curls were defined but not the way i wanted it. The smell was WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAYYYYYYYYYYY to strong. I still use it and im sorta used to it. I only use it to help define my curls when i use eco styler. You can either mix that with olive oil and gel ar let it dry or else you gel this flaky thing.

I have a 4C twa. This product is amazing! I used it after cowashing my hair (while in twist) with Suave Coconut Conditioner & Tea Tree Oil, rinsing (with the twist that didn't fall out), then 3-Minute deep conditioning with Aussie Moist 3-Minute Deep Conditioner. After all that I used some doo-gro anti itch oil and coconut oil then applied some Cantu Leave In conditioner through out my whole head. Then I start twisting & retwisting with using just a little of the Curl Unleashed Curl define creme and it really does what it says. I used it while my hair was dripping wet and I used a spray bottle filled with water when my hair started to dry. The next day I un-twisted my twa. Finally something that keeps my hair moisturized and not flaky or crunchy (I hate gels). Great definition and really does elongate your tresses. Remember a little goes a long way and the jar is pretty sizable. And me being a broke community college student I'm telling all 4Cers who do not know how to define their fros and keep them moisturized should TRY this product. You can always return it if not satisfied.

Great for twist out's and great texture. It defines curls nicely, however the smell is strong and unpleasant. Big jar so it will last you awhile cuz a little goes a long way. I might not buy it again due to the smell :(

This is my first jar and so far I have about a third of the jar left. I use this product to do my braidouts on freshly washed hair, I let them dry overnight and take them down in the morning. The product about 90% of the time is not 100% dry when I wakeup in the morning. So whatever area (mainly my roots or my relaxed ends) one or the other will still be damp will lose the definition from the braid once it does dry, which creates frizz or volume. I like the results but I do not like that it takes so long to dry, and it takes even LONGER when I use coconut oil to seal and then use this product to style. The smell is HORRIBLE, I really can't describe what it is but it is disgusting. This jar will be the first and last that I purchase, Im looking for something else for my transitioning 3c curls.

Ick. This product made my hair feel like straw. It was so gross that within a few hours I had to wash it all out (and I added a leave-in conditioner to apologize to my hair for what I had done to it). I tried this a second time with the same results (and the same type of apology to my hair). I bought this because I saw it at Walgreens and was hoping to find something that would be available locally and not too expensive. It seems to work for others but my hair just didn't like it.

I love this product! I had almost 2 inches taken off of my curly hair, and have adopted a short, curly look much like the actress, Jasika Nicole. I have had many compliments, but I had to deal with my curls being dry, and lacking definition. I received a sales flyer from Sally's Beauty supply, and saw that they were selling the full line of Curls Unleashed products. I liked the packaging, and I went online and did a little research. I immediately went to Sally's and got the Curl Defining Creme, along with their Set It Off Curl Boosting Jelly. That night I applied the creme sparingly and set my hair in two strand twists. As I was applying the product, I noticed an immediate improvement in the look and feel of my hair. I was still a bit nervous, because as one reviewer here stated, many products go on soft, and the hair takes to it well, but the next day, the hair can be dried out. In the morning, when I loosened the twists, my hair was noticeably soft to the touch! There was no hint of dryness! I wet my hands with a bit of water, and proceeded to mix some leave in conditioner with a bit more of the Curl Defining Creme, and my hair is soft, well defined and lovely! It looks hydrated and shiny, I am very pleased with the product, and would recommend it highly. The price is $14.99 at Sally's but with the 16oz size, you get plenty of product, so it is worth the price. A little goes a long way, because it does have a bit of a greasy feel. As long as you do not use too much, it is fabulous because it replenishes the hair with much needed moisture. I definitely will continue to use this product.

Love this creme for my 3B hair type it keeps it soft and doesn't weigh my curls down like most products do and you really don't have to use that much so this one 16 oz container will last you a long time. I pair it with a volume boosting heat protectant mousse so I don't have to worry about frizz while diffusing my curls. I tried it for the first time after I did a deep treatment with Cream of nature argan oil the previous night and it worked AMAZING together. The combination of the two kept my hair soo soft and like the name is called Curls unleashed my curls were flowing everywhere and had nothing to hold them down. This creme is definitely a good buy, just dont plan on using it alone or with the matching mousse it needs a lil kick like with the product I stated. Would've given 5 curls if it were good alone with the curls unleashed mousse.

A friend bought this for me by mistake so I tried it. I wouldn't have bought based on the mixed reviews but I must say I love it. It leaves my curls nice & frizz free. I didn't think it had much of a smell at all to it. I will see how my hair reacts to the silicone's but so far so good. No crunch and my hair doesn't look dry. My hair is a combo of 3c/4a.

I did like this product. It does what it says probably because it's mostly cones. For the results I got I was willing to overlook that and just use it for those extra frizzy days and be sure to use a sulfate shampoo. My problem is the smell. It seems very chemical and perfume like to the point where it choked me. After having it in my hair for a couple of hours it was still just as strong and I had to wash it out. Never got the chance to see how it would hold up overnight.

This was a wonderfully thick and rich cream. It felt like I was really treating my tresses when I used this. It left my curls so soft, so moisturized, so shiny and bouncy; I loved it! And there is so much of it, but you don't need a lot to get good results, so it's really a wonderful product all around!

I love this product! I've been natural for 3 years and have been on a continual quest to find the perfect product for my 3b/3c hair. For me, perfect is one that retains the natural softness of my hair; defines and elongates my curls; isn't flaky; doesn't leave my hair hard or tacky; won't leave my hair frizzy; allows my hair to "move" and finally--would work well enough to do all of these things without having to use several products each morning. This product does exactly ALL of these things! For the first time ever, I am using this product alone and nothing else. The first time I used it I applied way too much because I'm so accustomed to piling on product. It worked well, but it left if very greasy. The next morning I washed it and reapplied to damp hair. This time I applied about a quarter-size amount to my shoulder-length hair and worked it through my hair ends to roots, running my fingers through to detangle and separate the curls. Then, I applied tiny amounts to areas that I had missed. Now, my hair dries so much faster because it's not layered in product and the curls are elongated the way they are when I diffuse. Well worth the money!

wow, great product. I have tried almost every natural hair product for my daughters 4a hair and nothing has been able to moisturize it until now. Most products go on very soft and moisturizing and later become hard and dry. This almost seemed to change her texture. Her hair went from being dry and frizzy to soft, shiny and curly in a matter of minutes. Try it, you will not be disappointed. Worth the money and you get 16oz for the price. A little goes a long way also.
