This product worked more like a sealant to me. It is best that I use my leave-in then put this on top. Definitely worked well with Giovanni Direct leave-in because of the high amount of aloe vera gel in this product. Combining aloe vera with certain leave-ins makes my hair moisturize for longer periods of time and reduces tangles. I don't think I will repurchase this in the future because I can just mix aloe vera juice/gel with my leave in and get the same result for cheaper.
I must say that I absolutely love this product. it's very moisturizing and you don't have to apply too much to your hair. The only reason why this product lacks one star is because of the smell. The smell is too strong once you open the jar and apply to the hair. I don't find the smell pleasant until after you apply the product to hair. It goes from the smell of roach spray to a real light scent of vanilla and lavender. I hope this site has other scents available by the time I purchase my next jar.
So I have been using this cream as a winter staple for at least the year, it is so moisturing for the cold winter months. I use it for my twist-outs and it keep my hair soft and hydrated for several days.
The best moisturizer I used so far (and I'm a PJ)! I'm so so sad that they don't ship to Europe anymore because my search for a good moisturizer was over. Plus: super soft, moisturized hair which lasts for days (only reapply a bit on the ends as needed until next wash), great smell- lavender vanilla ( i hate coconut smells). I used it to seal in the LOC method. Minus: the price. Hair type: mix of 3b, 3c, 4a, 4b
I purchased this product recently in th 2oz. Size try it out to see if I would like it. Bingo....I love it. It's a smooth creamy blend of butters and oils. Perfect texture to smooth over your hair to moisturize you tresses or seal in the moisture. From reading some of the reviews a few people had a bad experience with the consistency, but I did not. The consistency was perfect. No issues at all. The scent I purchased was pomegranate guava umm, umm, umm. It smells so good. I will be buying this in the bigger size for sure. I will try using it for a twist out in the fall. Stay tuned.
I really like this only thing is if you use too much then your hair will be weighed down>>>otherwise good styler! I use the leave in and then this>>>doesn't have much hold though... Still a good protective styler!
I love this cream, it it so moisturizing. I used it on wet or dry hair and I love how soft it makes my hair feel for days.
Added shine and moisture....but just like the other product I ordered at the same time (Butter Love) there was a problem with the consistency. Although it was creamy, there were grainy white grits throughout the product. I even tried rubbing the product in my hands first and the grits did not go away. When I applied the product to my hair, it looked like I had dandruff. I'm not sure what gives but that's two strikes already for the two products i've bought. I'll try my best to use it again but I wouldn't re-purchase this unless I could verify the consistency was actually a cream. On another note, it did smell delightful!
So far the KBB products I have been trying are excellent! This cream is light yet very effective in giving my hair the shine and moisture it needs. And all you need is a very little!
I love this cream, my hair loves thick creams and this is very thick and creamy. I did a puff/twist out and they did come out fatter and less defined with this but the moisturize value outweighted that. I did mix with Eco-styler and it plays very well with it (no white flakes or build up). It kept my hair smooth and really soft. Even when I wet my hair and reapplied, no build up and my hair remained soft and very manageable. This is definitly going in to my product rotation.
So, this product is decent. I still like my Butter Love, much better though. I've tried the cream in a couple of different ways. I normally like 'cream' based products for my braid-outs, however the consistency of this product, isn't really creamy. You have to dig it out and rub it generously in your hands, before applying it to your hair. Which was alright...I just wished it was a little more "whipped." That being said, I do like it for my scalp and ends. I normally apply it to my scalp, like a hair grease, and on my ends as a sealer. It pairs well with the Nubian Heritage custards. (I have the one in the green tube.)
This cream is super moisturizing. I tried to use this to 2 strand twist my hair, results were ok, my twists were really soft and but just weren't as defined as I like them to be. I will continue to use on my daughter's hair and ends.
I'm back to review again and this is def a product that I love. I love the texture of it the most. It feels real good when you apply it to wet hair. I'll wash, dc, use water as my "leave-in" and seal with this before twisting with or without a gel.
So far so good! I just got this purchase in the mail not to long ago. I ordered it from the KBB website. I have the coco mango scent. It's not too strong at all either....I'll describe that scent as "peaceful and calm" smelling lol. I've been using this to retwist my hair up at night. I first mist my hair my oyin juices then use like a nickel size amount to seal that moisture in. My hair feels soft. The next morning I just put some oil in my hair and take my twist out and I've been having good hair days...as I use this more though and in different ways I'll check bk in and update my rating. My first impression is that I'm loving it. It's not oily neither, def more of a cream. (Like the name says it is.)
