I have 3B hair so I am somewhere in the middle but: 1. this smells AMAZING. 2. It does, work BUT it doesnt last long, the directions say to use it once a week, but i use it twice a week, because it doesn't last that long. 3. It's thick so you can feel it work, but it washes out quick 4. I don't see too much product buildup 5. Its pretty heat resistant, after i get out of the shower, i use a diffuser and it helps cut down frizz
