I like the shampoo okay... Considering that is has oil in it, I think I was expecting it to be more rich, or something. I actually used it after the conditioner, and while I feel like it cleaned my hair and my scalp very well, I also think that it left my hair drier than I would like, or even expect from a shampoo that has oil in it. All in all, when used in combination with the conditioner and masque in the line, I was pleased with the shampoo. But I do think that I will continue to use it following a conditioning treatment and follow it with something rich and hydrating for my hair. On another note, this is probably a great shampoo to use when you are looking to gently clarify your hair and remove product build up.

For what this costs and the fact that it has oil and is sulfate-free, I'd expect a really gentle, non-stripping poo. However, my curls were so parched after I rinsed this out that I couldn't move my fingers through my hair, even under the shower's spray. Tangle city!--and I'm not prone to them! I know of a lot of oil-based facial cleansers for oily skin because oil dissolves oil (while oil and water don't mix). Maybe this poo dissolved all of my natural oils or something. It's a theory. I have to admit that this poo had me stumbling for theories to explain why it was so potent, on my curls at least. It could have been something simple like the trend many sulfate-free poos do where the proportion of surfactant (cleansing agent) to water contains much more surfactant than a sulfate-containing poo. Whatever the cause, this one had me theorizing and writing long monologues to explain its strong cleansing abilities.
