After reading the reviews of the product over a few years, and waiting for it to go on sale, I finally decided to try it. Instead of a blow dryer, I used my hair steamer, and continued to follow the directions. Since my hair is thick and long, I used about 3 ounces, so the 8.5 ounces lasted for three treatments. The results were moisturized, strong, but soft hair. I would definitely purchase this product again, but on sale. I give this product 5 curls, in spite of the price, because I didn't have to use very much to cover my hair and get satisfactory results.

So pretty much I have own their whole line for a very long time. The Deep Treatment is the ONLY thing I will ever buy again in bulk! Love Love Love it. It has everything I need in a deep conditioner and after my hair is soft. I recently ran out of this and was so sad lol now I use Giovanni.. to be honest I miss my 12 minute deep treatment. I will probably be repurchasing this product after my Giovanni is all gone.

I have fine 2B hair that is low-porous. I got a sample of this at Sephora and I tried it out today. I washed with CJDF, rinsed, and then put Ouidad 12 Min DT all over my hair. I combed it through, piled my hair on top of my head, covered with a shower cap and a towel to let my body heat warm it up for 15-20 minutes. I rinsed it out under running cold water. My hair felt dry and sort of abrasive - like the strands were catching on each other badly. This DT had absolutely no slip. I ended up adding some GVPCB to my hair so that I could detangle it. I suspect that this DT has way too much protein in it for my protein-fussy hair. It left my hair looking dull (not shiny) and it didn't seem to add additional moisture. If your hair loves protein, it might make your hair happy, but this isn't the product for me.

Where to start? This product is INCREDIBLE. I was very hesistant to spend $50 on a DT that you are supposed to use atleast 2 ounces of every time you use it. Well first of all, you don't need that much. I used enough to saturate my hair but not a smidge more and I can see the bottle lasting for atleast 8 uses, which is not that bad considering I'll do it once, maybe twice a month. This makes my hair so ridiculously silky and slip-y that I had to triple check the ingredients list to make sure it is cone free. This is filled with proteins and amino acids but it does not feel like it, it's actually very moisturizing. My hair was left bouncy, strong, silky, and shiny. It also smells wonderful. The consistency is so rich and creamy, you know it's going to work. Normally I would take off a curly for the exorbitant price tag, but this stuff is so amazing I just can't bring myself to do it.

I would be miserable without this product. I use it 2x a month religiously and it has transformed the health of my hair from dry, damaged, limp pathetic frizzy waves to grogeous, shiny, super soft, well defined waves. I sit under a dryer with heat and after the 12 minutes I apply the balancing rinse conditioner and leave the 2 conditioners on to cool. It's critical to add a moiturizing conditioner on top after you heat the DT- it seriously makes the biggest difference in the world. It's worth every penny and more- i will continue to buy this forever. Thanks Ouidad!!

I have mixed feelings about this product. Firstly I think it is outrageously over-priced. I would not buy it again because I don't think it's worth the cost. I gave it an average rating because it did work slightly with my hair. It is now a little bit shinier and softer, but it's not amazing and my curls were not well-defined like they are with other products. My hair was pretty flat and I had weak, fuzzy curl formation after using it. It did reduce frizz and fly-aways, but not completely - I still have a fair amount. Not my favorite and I wouldn't buy this again, but it could potentially work for someone else if you are willing to spend a lot!

This product is so overrated and OVERpriced. There are other DT's out there that cost less and work better. No significant difference after using this DT on a regular basis.

I know this product got really good reviews... but when I washed out the treatment I didn't notice a difference in my hair after I used it. It was pretty lame for me.

AWESOME! This is the best deep conditioning treatment I have ever used. Use it once a week and watch your hair transform from frizzy mess to sexy tress! Really hands down the best conditioning your hair will ever have!

my curls went from straw to silk in just one try! I put about half the recommended amount on (lets face it, this stuffs expensive), heated it with my blow dryer for 15 ish mins, and left it on overnight. AMAZING results.

I love this conditioner. I can't find another product that can beat it's moisturizing ability. It's pricey but the results are well worth it. It leaves my scalp AND hair moisturized and very healthy for weeks. I also love the smell.

This is a great deep conditioner that conditions without weighing down or give the hair the feeling of being over conditioned. I only got a 2 oz bottle and this stuff is very concentrated so a little goes a long way. I sectioned off my hair in 4 parts and was able to get enough product on comb it through and still have plenty left for my next treatment. It's expensive but worth it. I don't think you need to use 2 oz per section as they say on the web site use what ever works for you and your wallet

This was my favorite DT for several years. However, they just changed the formula and it is so bad, I'm sending it back! It left my hair frizzy and feeling very dried out. I wish they had left it alone!

a must...it is really expensive, but worth every penny.

This is by far the best protein treatment out there. Gives my fine, thin hair thickness, body and shine. It does take time/ heat but it is worth it. I dilute it with Aubrey's GPB conditioner and it still works just as well.

Really great deep conditioner. The only problem here is the price. It's expensive.

I tried it a few years ago and it did absolutely nothing for my hair. However after reading reviews I decided it to give a another chance. This deep treatment helped greatly tamed my frizzy hair but only for a couple of days. In order to maintain my hair frizz-free I would have to use this product a couple of times a week. However the price is way too high for me to do that. Overall it is a great product, but very expensive.

Wonderful conditioner. My hair was unbelievably soft afterwards. I wrapped my hair in a Curlease towel and used my hairdryer on low heat; the results were wonderful.

My favorite deep conditioner. It is expensive and time consuming, but well worth it. My hair always looks its best and its healthiest when I use this conditioner.

Absolutely fantastic. I had almost given up on my hair before I replenished it with this stuff. Every time I use it my hair wakes up. The smell is awesome too.

I didn't like this. I think it works well if you already have damage. For some reason, it seemed to strip the life out of my hair, instead of making it better. Good thing I didn't pay full price for it.

I have spent hundreds of dollars on Ouidad products -- and I STILL don't get it. I will never buy them again. this deep conditioner pulls all the color out of my hair and leaves it frizzy!

This is by far the best deep conditioner/hair repair product I have ever used. It gets my hair softer than I ever imagined it could be, and it definitely reduced frizz and dryness. The only drawback is its price- for my thick, long hair, one treatment costs about 20 dollars (an 8 oz bottle is $50, and I use 2 oz for each treatment). But it's well-worth the cost if you use it once every month or so. Nothing I've tried works better.

I did enjoy the Deep Treatment, however the price is ridiculous, and I wouldn't buy it again because of that. It worked well, I noticed my hair was softer and silkier.

WOW!!! I thought hair repairing was a bunch of huey but this stuff worked wonders.My hair was a little damaged from dying it, not noticably so, but detanling was very hard. After just my 1st treatment I can now run a comb through it easily and fast again. I didn't even apply heat, just left it on overnight. I was lucky, a friend gave me 8 ounces because she doesn't need it. It's pricey but worth it after I use mine up, I will buy it in the future.

I absolutely love this product. It leaves my afro-textured kinks soft and hydrated. When I want to style my hair straight, I use this product followed by Balancing Rinse and wet set my coarse kinks to light, soft, glossy, bouncy curls that can easily be flat-ironed to a silky sleek texture. The only other product I’ve used that has provided similar results is Deep Brilliance Moisture Shine Treatment.

I get better results from Nexxus Emergencee. This seemed to strip the color off my hair and leave it a frizzy mess. The price is ridiculous.

Left me with frizzy hair for a week. Stripped the colour right out. NEVER, ever again...

This is a good deep conditioner that is highly concentrated. I wouldn't recommend using it every week though, maybe rotate w/another DT (since the protein is so high). Also upon rinsing follow it up w/a moisturizing conditioner rinse. It definitely leaves your hair soft and manageable and is good for people whose hair has been damaged or chemically treated (at least I think so!)

It is way too expensive for the results. Much better choices are Biolage conditioners or Jessicurl.

I am finishing up my 4th bottle (professional size) & will keep on using this product! This is the best quality deep treatment I have ever used. I grab a magazine, sit under my hood dryer and nourish my curls routinely!

Amazing, wonderful, fabulous deep treatment. It leaves my hair incredibly soft and shiny for days. The one drawback is the price.

I used to be addicted to all of Ouidad's products... but times change. One thing that hasn't changed though, is my love for her Deep Treatment. I may try out other deep treatments, but I always come back to this one. I give it props for completely changing the look and feel of my hair in the summer of 1999 and for keeping it at its best since then.

This is a great product, the same as getting a deep treatment in a salon. It is time consuming to blow dry your hair for 20 minutes but it is worth it if you have very dry, damaged hair like mine. My hair feels and looks so much better. I splurged and bought the professional bottle because it is a lot cheaper per ounce and will last a long time.

I love the smell and consistency of this treatment. I also found that I didn't have to use as much as Ouidad recommends. I used this four days ago and my hair has been a lot less frizzy since then. However, I wouldn't buy it again simply because of the price.

This is one of the most overpriced products I've ever purchased. Maybe it improved the strength of my hair? I couldn't tell. You definitely need to apply a "regular" conditioner after you rinse it out.

This is a great deep conditioner as long as you apply a moisturizing conditioner overtop before rinsing out. It's a splurge item, though, since it's so expensive.

This is a major, leave-it-on-for-a-while-with-heat conditioner that really does seem to add life and softness to the hair.
