I feel like I have to overdose on this product to get it to work. It doesn't really work if I don't use a whole ton of it. I really liked it for a while but I've been trying other conditioners and have realized that this one is actually not as good as I had always thought it was in comparison.
Pretty good at conditioning, won't repurchase unless on sale and only for days when I will be straightening but of the heavy cones.
I go to this conditioner only occasionally. i don't use it when i want my hair to look the way i want, just when i'm staying in for the night for the good smell. I found it did not protect my hair from damage and was overly greasy.
this is one of the only products i have had some success with. my daughter has dry, frizzy curls and they are so unmanageable. i used this and it worked great...for about an hour then her hair frizzed out it looked really dry.
I've used this recently, and won't buy it again. I've heard some people say that the formula has changed from the past, but I can only speak for what's currently on the market, and it isn't that great. It doesn't moisturise, leaves hair dry, and doesn't aid in detangling. I've had better results with cheaper, less 'high-end' brands, like Aussie and Herbal Essences.
Humectress USED to be the best, but it has definitely changed. This ingredient list must be old because it has cones now. That explains alot.
I love this stuff. I have used this for a long time and will still continue to use it. A staple indeed. It makes my hair so soft and manageable. It detangles and everything else. I use it as both a co wash and a deep conditioner. I'd greatly recommend this product and all of Nexxus' products.
I used this stuff about 15 years ago, and then decided to try it again because I really liked it. But it's not the same; it doesn't seem to condition my hair very well and my hair was rough after using it. It's definitely not worth the money. I think Herbal Essences none of your frizziness or hello hydration work much bettter and are a much better price! I have very thick 3a curls.
An oldie but goodie. Heavy moisture for my needy curls. Also works well as a leave-in conditioner.
I have very fine 3b/c hair - and a lot of it. I battle dryness and split ends. I use this conditioner every other day when I wash my hair. It does such a great job of leaving my hair soft and moisturized that I buy the large economy size (at WalMart) and have been using it for over 10 years. Awesome!
The old formula was better than this one. It is good as a leave in provided you use it sparingly or it will build up and look gunky. It's not as moisturizing as it once was and it should be considering the name of the product. I've used this for a while and my hair still feels dry, I have very dry hair so I'm looking to use something that conditions my hair deeper than this.
i have 4B hair - i like this conditioner because it does moisturize - for heavier moisture i would mix it with nexxus botanic oil (safflower seed oil, sesame seed oil, sunflower seed oil, corn oil, soybean oil, lecithin and tocopherol). but i wouldn't buy it again because there are other conditioners that do the same thing this Nexxus condish does, and are not as expensive.
Conditioner is has a lot of moisture, it helps untangle my hair, and it seems to repair my semi-damage hair. Beings life to my curly hair.
Pricey and terrible!! It had no slip and wasn't moisturizing. By the end of the week my hair felt gross.
I LOVE this conditioner! I leave in in for about 5 minutes in the shower, and by the time I go to rinse it out, there's barely any left to rinse. It's like my hait actually absorbs most of it. I have very fine hair, but this doesn't weigh it down.
This used to be my HG conditioner for 20 years! I thought I was set for life - this stuff worked wonders on my hair, but since it was sold to L'Oreal, it seems they have changed the formula, and I am now on the hunt for a new leave-in conditioner. What a disappointment :(
Not the most hydrating conditioner I've ever used. Left my curls frizzy, I was disappointed.
This is a good leave-in conditioner but definitely not a holy-grail product for me. I guess I expected it to be a miracle product and smooth out my frizzies but it didn't really seem to do that (since that is my main concern). However, I did notice it calming my hair down and making it more soft and manageable after a few minutes of application, which is good. It's a trusted salon brand with a good reputation so you can't go wrong with it.
All time favorite conditioner!! However, I stopped using it as a daily conditioner, and now only use as a deep conditioner after using Emergencee. It is very thick and moisturizing, but seemed to break me out so I couldn't use it in the shower anymore. Now when I apply it I don't let my hair touch my skin at all. Kind of tricky, but it has been working so far :) I love it so much I couldn't give it up!! It leaves my hair soooo supersoft and smooth, but still my curls are defined. Detangles like a dream!! I will use this stuff til they stop making it, which is hopefully never!!
I really liked this leave-in. It really added moisture, but didn't make my hair feel too producty. I used it as a leave-in under a gel
This is supposed to be a really good conditioner but it is not hydrating enough for my hair. It weighs it down but somehow leaves it dry at the same time.
I've been using this for years, and it's the one leave-in I always come back to. Some slight crunch factor, but great for static, tangles and overall control. Love the smell, too.
I used to use it for years, and it was a step up from the drugstore stuff I dried out my hair with, but Humectress left my hair greasy, dull, and lifeless after a while. (I used a bit everyday as a leave in.) It contains mineral oil, which can smother hair and build up--I'm sure that's what did it. Now for a leave in I use Paul Mitchell's The Cream, Abba Nourishing, or Aveda Elixir and my hair is much better off. (See my reviews for these.) It's probably ok to use Humectress once or twice a week.
My hair:2b,3a and fine. A staple for me, have used it on and off for years. Leaves my hair feeling full and soft. As with any conditioner, I have to be careful not to use it too frequently. Will always have this on hand.
This was my first HG! But it's too expensive now, what with the new smaller bottles. When I used this stuff, I hardly needed any other product - just a dash of hairspray and I was ready to go. Plus it smelled like bubblegum.
An oldie, but a goodie. It's a curlyhead staple that you can always come back to. Smells great and can be used as a leave-in, a hairdress or a rinse-out conditioner. All Nexxus products have a new look now.
