I purchased this in the hopes of growing my hair thicker in most areas. I just got it a couple of days ago. So it's too early to tell if it's working. It has two products that I like which are biotin and castor oil. It's a good scalp rub if you have dry scalp. I only use it for those two reasons but so far it's ok. I'll be able to see the difference after a month or so to say yes to it 100%.
(Type 4A, Armpit Length, Natural for 5yrs, 10mo) This product is really amazing. It is just like Jane Carter Nourish and shine, but half the price for the same amount of product. And it has better ingredients. I use it as a sealer for my ends, or I rub a bit on my hands while I take down my twists. I was nervous about buying it because the reviews were not that great, and claimed that it was grainy. The grains are slightly visible (like raw shea butter), BUT it melts in your hands immediately. So I'm not sure what those previous reviews were talking about, or maybe Camille Rose fixed the product. The smell is very natural, just like a mix of butters with no added fragrance. So blends well with Camille Rose almond jai and curlaide (the only two butter I own from the company). I would def buy this product again, and ditch nourish and shine because of the price. Still too soon to see if it affects my growth.
This product is too oily, & I didn't really notice a change in growth, will not be purchasing this product again.
This stuff is great! I don't know if some people received a bad batch or an old jar. I love this compared to Oyin's pomades--now they are grainy and contains beeswax which is funny feeling on my hair. This product melts on the finger. I used this as a sealant after using the new Cantu Curl Cream on my daughter's hair(4C). The next day, I started combing her hair, and it was still soft. I love its subtle scent of chocolate. It's a good product. I will repurchase it instead of actual shea butter mixtures for my ends.
Smells bad; it's very grainy even after rubbing it for a very long time; would not buy this product again.
I love the smell of the product (kinda like chocolate). The first time I used it was after I had washed and braided my hair in medium plaits for a braid out. It seemed to do fine but a day or so later, my scalp developed a case of the "itchies". I'm not sure if it was the product or if my scalp is sensitive to heavy oils but I will keep using it for my hair and edges/nape area.
If I wouldve know that this jar was so small, I wouldve never purchased it. I don't care for the smell either. Although this is so, I do appreciate the fact that it is 100% natural/vegan. I give it three stars only because of the size.
I have been using this product about a week now. It is not too greasy and has a mild chocolate scent, but not overpowering. It leaves my curls soft, conditioned and shiny. I bought 2 jars and will update after using longer.
I have only been using this product about a week now. Use it to seal in moisture after twisting with Almond Jai Twisting Butter. This product has a mild chocolate scent, not too greasy and doesn't build up on hair. My curls are soft and shiny. So far so good. It's only been a week, will update rating after more time using.
