Darcy's main website actually advertise that you use the Curling Cream Gel and the Curl Style Leave-in together and when I first tried this, I did that...and the results were awful! I was so disappointed. However, I repurchased this again, by itself, and used it with my KBB Sweet Ambrosia leave-in and I loved it!!! The gel is great for slicking back my edges for buns and I've used it for my braid outs. My 4a hair had a soft hold. Another great product by DB!

I raked the cream into my 3B hair in sections following my KBB Hair Nectar leave-in. I then applied KBB hair oil to seal in the moisture and diffused. The results were amazing- soft, well defined, frizz free curls! First, the curling cream smells exactly like Kool-Aid. lol Which doesn't really bother me because the scent doesn't linger. The consistency is not quite runny, but not thick. It goes into the hair nicely. To be clear, this product does not work like a typical gel. It works to define your natural curls without providing a lot of hold. So it works best when you rake/shingle it in as opposed to scrunching. This product also mixes well with other products. I would give it 5 stars, but I'm not sure how it would hold up in hotter climates. Overall, I am very pleased with this product and will probably repurchase it in the future!

I like this a lot! The consistency is very milky...and super thin! It smells fruity, and it isn't sticky at all. It's kind of serum-y. The ingredients are good, and it very easy to distribute, so my results are even throughout my hair. The drying time is fast, which is great; however, while it's drying, your hair might not look too curly. This is because it has very little hold, so if you're thinking it will hold the curls you've scrunched like a gel would, this might not be for you. Instead, it allows your natural curls to be enhanced and more defined. Once my hair is dry, it's full of nice spirals in stead of weird curls I get from scrunching + gel. Also, the volume is pretty good! I just hope this doesn't have protein in it. The ingredients here says it has silk amino acids, but my bottle has different ingredients (?)
