I have been using this product for a while (I`m already at my third or fourth bottle) and all i can say is i am impressed. It doesnt make my hair feel heavy, it defines my curls, and it doesnt dry them. It is good on its own, but combined with the shampoo and leave-in conditioner in the same line, i think it works even better. It makes my hair even less frizzy!!! LOVE this product and would recomend it to anyone :)
This really minimized the amount of product I would use they day of washing. Makes soft, bouncy curls and minimized frizz perfectly! a little expensive but it does the job
This works fairly well on its own. With gel I found it made my curls a little crunchy and stringy. Gives good definition to curls but isn't anything amazing.
Mediocre, at best. Aveda has a much better line. This stuff dries your hair very badly. And is likely bad for long use. Not buying again.
I use this product when I do two strand twists and it gives me good hold and definition. I haven't tried it as a wash n go, but I do think that I like it better than the curl cream by deva curl which makes my hair so soft but it still gets extra frizzy and leaves absolutely no hold. Hope this helps.
this product defines and moisturises my curls and smells great i just wish the moisture lasted longer and that it wasn't soo expensive for a small bottle
I must say that I was pleasantly surprised about how my hair responded to this product. Absolutely no crunch and soft bouncy curls. I am not used to using a cream this thick, but I am still in shock about how well it works.
pleasantly surprised by this! very very creamy i can feel the shea butter (which is high up on the ingredients list) smells GREAT like a slightly more cologne version of "sweet pea" i don't like gel, so this is PERFECT for me. super moisturizing but thick and buttery enough to lock in that moisture. pretty impossible to get crunch with this lol
Saw this advertised in a magazine and really wanted to try it. Unfortunately it gave me some of the worst curls I've experienced in a while. I typically let my hair air dry and this left my curls dry, frizzy, and very undefined. I could also really feel the product in my hair once it was dry and that was not pleasant.
TheBOMB.com!!!!!!!!!! I love, love, love this product! It gave my curls great definition, bounce and body! My curls had a slight hold without the crunch and my hair felt moisturized!!!!!!! This is def gonna be a STAPLE in my house!!!!!! 5 out of 5 CURLS!!!!!!!!!
I started out really loving this product but within a couple times of using it, I found it to leave me with a product residue that was not only felt but seen on my curls as well! The smell is fantastic but the results aren't as long lasting as I would have hoped and that tends to lead me to frizz and tangles on the second day.
I love this! I thought I was blown away by the somewhat similar Ouidad Curl Quencher Hydrafusion Curl Cream (which is wonderful, but can't control frizz), but Paul Mitchell Twirl Around is even better! This product is incredibly light, and it dries quickly, leaving my hair less time to get messed up before the shape is sealed. This smells fresh and clean, and it keeps frizz away. It does not give me tangles like every other gel. It's hard to describe the texture of this product, because it doesn't feel at all like a gel, but it doesn't really feel like a cream, either. It's not sticky or oily and it doesn't crunch or flake. Twirl Around works especially well with Paul Mitchell Full Circle Leave-in Treatment, but my hair can't handle the Leave-in treatment more than for a special occasion because it builds up on my hair. (This also works beautifully with Miss Jessie's Pillow Soft Curls, which does not build up, used as a leave-in, and then applying Twirl Around as a refresher to damp hair.) When the weather is really dry, my hair almost seems to "lose weight"; the strands want to poof out and not hang down or clump into defined curls, and the slightest breeze (from walking, even) can cause my canopy to fly into frizz. Twirl Around adds "weight" without feeling greasy or tangle-inducing, and it stops the frizz all day. I am really impressed with this formulation. The development was obviously well thought-out, and it really is an innovation.
I don't like gels, but I love this stuff, so that should tell you how good it is! It gave me great curl definition and shine and no crunch at all. Just lovely, long lasting hold. I really put this product to the test, because it happen to be overcast, humid and rainy when I used it and it kept my hair completely frizz free. I love how it was able to control and define my curls, allowing it to form into perfect little ringlets, but my hair still had great body and movement. This may just be a new addition to my holy grail list!
This product does exactly what it says it will, which is give crunch free curl definition. IT has a very thick and creamy consistency so you really have to emulsify it in your hands just as the directions say. It does weigh my hair down some but it defines my curls and doesn't make them stiff. My hair still feels and moves like hair but I have cute ringlets. I really like this product!
My hair is partially tight curls and partially waves, so finding products for it is difficult. This worked well on my tight curls, they were very defined! My waves however were not.
this product did not give me good curl definition. however, after doing a wash n go and shaking my hair back and forth, it looked as if i had alittle curl definition but not as much. i liked how my hair felt after 3 hours of letting it dry because it was not crunchy and it felt soft. overall, i did not like this product.
I am currently a student at Paul Mitchell and they released this heaven in a bottle today! I am very picky on what I put in my hair BUT this stuff is GREAT! The detangling shampoo was awesome, the condition AND the twirl around! I have 3b type of hair and it defined the heck out of my coils and dried with barely any frizz! I would go back and put some Paul Mitchell treatment oil oil and their "the cream" for a little moisture but this is the best curl defining cream gel that I have used so far! GET IT!
Lots of great styling products for curls have come out over the past year. This one is very unique. Love the way it mixes a moisturizing cream with a gel. Works really well on my 3b curls. I'm still a huge fan of the Paul Mitchell Fast Form, but really do love this product - especially for dryer climates where I need more moisture.
