This stuff has HOLD. It's an unusual product, because it's not a gel, and it's not a cream...yet it's not a lotion. It's a hair smoother/shiner that's powerful for bringing out definition and keeping it. It's not hard or crunchy, but it can feel a bit rubbery. I like to use this occasionally, but I can't use it without a wash in between uses. It can make my hair feel bunchy, and it encourages tangles overnight, that in the morning wind up feeling like I used glue in my hair. I find I need a "low-poo" to break this up and get it washed out thoroughly. I think this is one of those products that I would drool over if I lived in a humid climate, but the desert doesn't bring out the best this has to offer. If you're looking for a heavy-duty anti-humectant with outstanding hold you will probably adore this gel.

I liked his gel a lot. It had some tough conditions to work within - a week of muggy (100% humidity) during NYC Fashion Week - and it held up well. Not crunch. Good curl definition. Smells great.
