My curls liked this okay, but by the end of the day I had an interesting oxymoron: lots of intense curls but also frizz that's cranked up.

Gave me good curl formation, especially when mixed with a little gel. Good consistency. Nice smell.

It did nothing for curl formation, but left my hair feeling very soft. This works well if want to layer it with a more curl-defining product. 3 curls.

the closest i've come to nice looking naturally curly hair. i combined this w/ my pantene curl gel (i like to mix cheap w/ expensive) and it works great! i suggest you use it w/ your favorite hair gel, it'll make your hair almost goddess like.

How this has rocked my shoulder-length 3b curls: smooth a quarter-size dollop through wet hair (closer to dripping than towel-dried). Twist into small sections. Squeeze twists with microfiber towel and then dry with a diffuser for a couple of minutes. Let air dry and then gently separate the twists. Would give this 5 curls if it had a bit more "hold" to it, but this product made my hair ridiculously soft and helped me create bouncy, larger curls.

This wasn't as anti-frizz or pro-curl as I thought it would be. It takes a handful to smooth down my hair, and leaves a film that feels tacky. However, it does eliminate most frizz and provides some assistance to my ringlets. Also, I can't stand the patchouli-ish scent. It's overpowering and unpleasantly follows me around all day.

This is my new favorite product. Great for controlling my 3a/b hair, but i wouldn't recommend with any more curl than that. The lotion spreads well and although the product is a little pricey, it will last a long time. The smell is nice and it leaves my curls very touchable, unlike my old favorite, tigi catwalk curls rock. Love this !

This product did help define curls, but it definitely did not help reduce frizz! I got a refund for the salon for the product, which was returned.

My stylist showed me how to use this product mixed with the Aveda Confixor. While my hair is drenched with water, I work it through my hair and then squeeze out the excess. These are the first products that have worked to tame the friz in my hair and bring out the curls!

Works great, but you have to mix it with Be Curly Curl control first, then apply the mixture.

Great product when used with Aveda confixer. However, I had to add hairspray (a no for curly hair) for it to be resistant to humidity and last all day.

Alright so I tried very hard not to make this item part of my permanent necessary products as it is very expensive. But I also have yet to find anything that beats it, my friends love the smell, and mixed with a little EVOO I think it gives me soft curls, It just seems a little drying to me.

I really love this stuff. Nice curl definition and very soft. However, I don't generally care all that much about a little frizz so some people might want to combine this with other products. I don't think the frizz is that bad but I have friends who combine this with a gel.

Intense curls but could also be drying. I have to pair this with the Universal Styling cream because I need more weight to my hair not volume. This is the only product I have found that really does define curls. I just wish it was an all-in-one for me.

I can't believe everyone's giving such bad reviews! I tried so many things on my hair and everything just left my hair poofy and undefined. I used this stuff and it was like a miracle! It made my hair be very curly with defined curls, but not poofy at all. It probably doesn't work well on people with wavy hair but I would definetely recommend this to curly people with poofy hair that they want to tame.

This product worked well to enhance waves when I relaxed my 3c hair. I tried it after I went au naturale and it doesn't do anything. It just made my hair look dry and frizzy.

Like I said b4, I done tried it all and this, my friends is a joke. It didn't do much for me by way of enhancing my curls. Just sat on the hair and created chaos. This is like kryptonite for 3C/4B hair, so if y'all see it in the aisles lightening speed in the other direction.

I just started using this product about a week ago. At first I would leave it in on it's own, but after having days of "poofy" hair, I decided to layer some gel over it, which works great. I now wonder if it's just the cream/gel combo that works best for me anyways...if so, BeCurly was a waste of money.

I thought this was the worst thing I ever put in my hair. My hair seemed to have become frizzier. It was so bad that I had to go back to the store to return it! I was really surprised about how bad it is!

This is a great lotion to put on your hair after conditioning it in the shower. I put a good layer on and put in a microfibre towel before adding in styling products. I love this out of the Be Curly line from Aveda.

I used to use this product for a while. It worked really well, but at some point my hair didn't care for it anymore and it wasn't doing a thing for it. This product, when it did work, left my hair soft, controlled, and healthy looking

I really like this stuff. It definitely helps with keeping the frizzes at bay, however, it gives some SERIOUS big hair...I love my hair big, just not this big. I totally agree on the volumizer comment. I added some retexturizing gel to it and it worked very well also.

This stuff is amazing, I didn't think it was going to make a difference but this combined with the humctant pomade works so well. My hair was very curly and defined, I can't remember the last time it looked so good! Very Impressed! I really recommend the whole line of Be Curly and the pomade as well.

I love Be Curly! I also love the smell, which is rare for me (I think it's the marshmallow, because I like the way the way the Hang Straight smells, too). The only problem that I have is that it DOES volumize. I don't need volume. But it defines even the tiniest strands of hair. I find it works well if mixed with the Confixxor.

I have bought this on two different occasions. The first time, I found that it made my hair greasy and gross. More recently, I tried it again. It made my hair soft and kept the curls. However, it does not hold the curls or control the frizz!

Oh my goodness. This product is BAAADDD. I spent almost $40 on this product, along with the new Aveda Control Creme. Control? Not for my 3B curls. In fact, my hair is dull, frizzy and not tightly curled when I use these products. The lotion formula does not provide ANY hold. The second and newest product, the Control Creme, does not provide the hold or frizz control it promises. Save yourself some money and buy another product. Aveda needs to go back to the drawing board on this one; they clearly did not test on true curlyheads.

After weeks of use, this product began to pull out my hair color (black over naturally brown); so much so that my hair looked as though I never dyed it. This is disappointing because other than that I had success with curl definition and frizz control with Be Curly. I would recommend this to anyone with similar hair (3B) who does not color their tresses. Everyone else should steer clear.
