This is truly an effective combo, however, I prefer to use just the spray, on wet hair. It gives my curls definition and I don't have to add any other styling products. Also, my coarse hair dries in about 3 hours! If I get any poofy spots, I can use the spray on dry hair to redefine the clumps. This does not get crunchy in the least, but it's slightly drying, so a leave-in conditioner is necessary for me. Which brings me to the shampoo...not a fan...mostly because it doesn't moisturize at all. I find this odd for a cleanser formulated for curly hair. It was difficult to detangle my hair even after putting on conditioner, and, as I discovered, the Rev Up spray has 0 detangling power. This shampoo made my hair a dry, knotted-up blob with huge snarls...some of which had to be ripped out. Not good at all. I'm going to give the shampoo to my mother or sister who both have wavy, softer hair than mine, because I think this is formulated well for fine hair. As far as the volumizing goes, I can't say I notice any difference, plus, my hair is curly to begin with, so it's hard to tell if this "revs up" my hair. However, it is excellent for definition and cutting drying time, and occasionaly it's nice to use only one styling product for an easy W&G.

This is one of those products that actually does what it says it's going to do. I used it in my hair and my daughter's hair and it's amazing. Sometimes I really like to wear my curls big, and this does the trick. I'm not sure the magic ingredient that he put in there, but it's incredible.
