I was skeptical right from the beginning about this purchase. The product did do what it was supposed to, however the fumes and odor that come from the product are terrible. The scent is a horrible rose smell with a chemical undertone to it and honestly, I don't want to walk around smelling like it after using the product. Wish it had a nice minty smell like the no poo has.
I was skeptical about a dry shampoo working on my hair type... but when I had a protective style, it was super helpful in absorbing the extra oils from my scalp when I couldn't DC or fully cleanse my scalp. It doesn't have a scent, which I also like.
The results from this are pretty solid - better than I used to get from dry shampoo back when I used one before I went CG. It's nice for adding some volume on the top of my head at the end of the day or after I've gone to the gym. I'd have to keep using it to be sure, but I expect I'll repurchase, since this with a refresher spray makes my short 2c-3a curls look almost normal, after my gym headband-plus-dozens-of-bobby-pins combo leaves them bizarrely misshapen. Not a huge fan of the weird, strong, powdery scent, but it's really only noticeable when you apply it; it doesn't linger.
This was a tough one to review. On one side, I liked the dry shampoo results I got when I used this after working out. My curls didn't look gunky, flaky, or otherwise dry pooed. However, I didn't like the menthol tingle on my flushed, just-worked-out scalp nor the aerosol-fine mist of menthol that I breathed in accidentally when applying it. On the results to my curls--good. On the scent and easy inhalation of the mist--not so good. For me, the irritation outweighed the good curls.
