Pros of this product -- it gives my hair more texture. I have thin hair, so my curls frizz and fall flat easily. Not with this stuff. Cons -- a little goes a long way. If you use too much, your hair feels waxy and gross. I wish I wouldn't have purchased this from my salon and should have gone with my gut (the cream gel instead of mousse). BUT I'm going to give it a chance and try it for a while longer. Maybe it will grow on me.

I am a 2B. I tried this product 2x and found it did not have a true mousse texture and did not define my curls as I had anticipated. It smelled pretty bad too. After using it made my hair feel sticky and somewhat greasy, almost like someone had put a wax or pomade in my hair. I would recommend skipping this product, although I do like the new Redken shampoo and conditioner for curly/wavy hair.

I tried this twice, and both times it didn't measure up for me. Usually, mousses don't have enough hold for me, so I used a generous amount the first time. My curls, as a result, were stringy and not so curly. I have had that happen when I used too much gel, so I adapted day 2 and used a more normal amount. Then I had an undefined poofball of frizz for most of the day that looked like I'd been caught in a drizzly day when it was sunny and in the 70s. Either way, the "texturizing" in this mousse made it perform differently than my other mousse experiences, but it still wasn't a good match for a loose, temperamental curls.
