My new stylist at the salon pointed out the Redken Curvaceous line to me when I mentioned I'd been searching for new products all weekend. The salon had one kit left (Curvaceous shampoo, Conditioner, and the Swirl Creme), and I quickly jumped on it. The biggest thing for me is to have products that are sulfate free, so these seemed like the perfect match. I use the conditioner as a leave-in, and I use it after I use my cleansing conditioner (As I Am) as well as using it after the shampoo on my shampoo days. I absolutely love it! My curls are shiny, soft, manageable, and not left starving for moisture. The scent is a bit strong at first (almost reminded me of cologne), but I quickly got used to it and love the way it smells. I'm always getting compliments now about how much healthier my curls look and how amazing it always smells. The Curvaceous line has become a part of my HG of products.
I really like this conditioner. It smells great and, when used with the shampoo, I literally don't have to add any other products and still get a great wash and go. I'd recommend this to anyone and would have given it a 5 if it were CG friendly. I liked the slip I got from it. Even if you get the sample packs, 1 application of both was plenty for my collarbone length (when curly) hair.
I've been testing different shampoo/conditioner products pretty solidly for the past...year or so, and I use this conditioner with the shampoo in between product testings. I find it along with the shampoo refresh my hair enough that I feel like it's healthy enough to try using a new product. I feel like it repairs my hair if I've just come off of a bad product. It has a good amount of slip and I just love the smell. So far it's the best curly hair shampoo/conditioner combo I've come across, but I'm going to keep seeing if there's something better out there. Another downside is the price, but I'm usually able to find the litre bottles on sale at my salon.
This shampoo is alright. I found it didn't have great slip and I had to use a lot to get a comb through my hair. It did really make my curls stand out and had a good smell. Probably won't repurchase because of the not so good slip factor.
Really nice! just tried it today as a tester for my stylist because my hair is a challenge. It's tempermental, fine, breakable, DRY, poruous 3b with random curl patterns. I usually use Deva Curl One Condition and will remain a loyal customer on that front. However, when I want to rotate something in I will DEFINATELY use this again. It went on very smoothly and immediately gave me a nice slip without a synthetic feeling...seems to have quenched my parched locks a bit. I follow with Redken Anti-Snap rather than my usual DC AnGel and I've got soft, defined, ringlets on a humid day. Worth a try curlies! ....in fact I joined NC today just so that I could tell you about this one ;)
Nothing to write home about but it works well with the shampoo. Its creamy and a little goes a long way but the bottle won't last long enough. It does add a little more curl control when you leave some in. I used it and then layered coconut oil on top. I'll stick with something cheaper in the meantime. But it's a nice condish. if I can get my stylist to get a larger bottle at a good price I'll make it a staple.
