This is ABSOLUTELY the best co-wash that I have ever used. Not only is it less expensive than competitors, it leaves my hair clean, soft, and moisturized. I was using Deva Curl; however, the product was so expensive that I needed to look for a cheaper option. When I used Deva Curl I needed to use the co-wash and their conditioner because my hair wasn't that soft after I used just the co-wash. I used Eden's co-wash every day (sometimes every other) and it never weighs it down. I also LOVE the smell. I thought it was a little strong when I first opened the container, but after using it I love the scent (and strength of the smell). I definitely recommend this product because of the great smell, moisturizing factor, slip level, and how it makes my hair bounce. The only thing I wish I could change is the container. I don't find dipping my hand in it but it would be nice if it was in a squeeze or pump bottle.
The best co wash hands down I've used so far. This is so moisturizing that I didn't even condition my hair afterwards. And the slip is incredible. Detangled my hair effortlessly. I even used this in place of my conditioner after shampooing to detangle my hair. The consistency is fluffy and reminds me of the Camille Rose Coconut Water line. They smell the same too. Also I didn't need to use too much as the spread was great too. The only con and one up I give to other co washes such as As I am, Carols Daughter hair milk, Curl Junkie is that they clean my hair better ( given I have an itchy scalp) but I def need to condition afterwards.
Absolutely my favorite cowash!!! And I've tried many of the popular brands. I LOVE the slip and richness of this product. I add to my hair, then add just a touch more of water, and it just feels wonderful going thru my hair. It's nice & thick and just sudsy enough to feel that it's cleansing AND conditioning. It also smells delightful. But I would have to say that my favorite feature is the ease it provides at helping me finger detangle. This makes it awesome. As compared to other brands, I'm pleased that it's very affordable as well. 5 star product.
So I'm new to the Curly Girl world and have only used a couple products for co-washing, but I have to say this is pretty good stuff! I'm experimenting with different combinations, and I have to say this is a good product. If you like coconut scented products this is also a plus. My hair has not yet felt greasy or weighed down yet by this product. I use this 2-3 times per week and sometimes I don't bother with the rest of the products and just let my hair do what it wants. This always leaves my hair extremely soft.
has AMAZING slip. cleanses my scalp and if you massage enough it'll even lather little which really makes me feel like I'm getting a god cleaning. leaves my scalp clean and removes buildup, defines more curls and leaves them super soft.
HOLY GRAIL product for me!!I have tried about 3 different 'cowash' cleansers(been natural for about 7 years)and I NEVER came across a product that works this well. The amount you get is great for the price, has AMAZING slip, smells good and best of all has my hair nicely cleaned without feeling too stripped! Will be purchasing from now on.
This product is amazing! I have just started to wear my hair curly again after nearly 15 years of straightening it, so it is without say that I need some deep conditioning products. EDEN coWash both cleans and conditions my hair; and after only two weeks of use, I can see my curls becoming healthier and happier. Plus, the smell is lovely (like an island vacation). Thanks CurlMart for all of your help in finding great products. Hair Type: 3B
Doesn't have enough slip. It made my hair tangle more. This will be the last Eden BodyWorks I will use, my hair hates this brand.
I had never used a cowash before (always shampoo) but I love this. It's creamy, but light, and smells great! I use it from root to tip and follow up with leave in conditioner and curl keeper. My hair feels less dry since switching. Also the amount for the price is a great buy compared to most other curly hair products!
Great product! This cowash cleanses while leaving your hair moisturized and soft. I use it in the shower then detangle, and it works wonders. Also it has a great coconut scent.
I am currently alternating this product and As I Am Coconut Co-Wash. I actually haven't been able to decide which one I like better because they are both so awesome.
Awesome awesome awesome! This product provided great slip, was very helpful in detangling, and left my hair soft, defined, and perfectly cleansed! Besides natural oils I've never tried a product that has given me such great results! Definitely recommend and it has been ingrained in my list of staple products. So pleased that I will be trying more products from this line!
Most definitely adds moisture to the hair. After hours of my shower, I could still feel the weight of my hair as if it were still wet. Definitely gets the job done!
I really liked this product. The smell was nice and not too strong or overpowering. It helped detangle my hair and didn't leave a sticky weird feeling on my hair when rinsed out. You dont need a lot per section (if you wash your hair in sections). It has sort of a soft lather and distributes easily throught your hair. It left my scalp clean while still keeping my curls moisturized. Overall a really good product. I also love how much product you get for the price. There are some pretty expensive cowashes out there.
Smells divine, but just not as moisturizing as I'd hoped. I spent the first half of my life in a 100% humidity environment w/ soft water with 3a/Botticelli-like curls (at the time, a thick head of very fine hair w/ a naturally diachronic effect.) It was pretty effortless and I *loved* how they looked in long layers. 19 years ago I was dragged to the desert by family. 0% humidity, full, excruciatingly bright sun, deadly heat and absolutely *no* curls. My scalp was dry, hair was frizzy and fragile...overall, it just wasn't pleasant. Until I stumbled on the L'Oreal about 6 months ago and it was *wonderful*! Full, bouncy, 1 inch diameter curls like a spring lamb! Even w/ lift at the roots! It cleansed my hair thoroughly, moisturized richly and (even though the scent was over-powering w/ kind of a harsh, chemical/floral smell) with just one product I had the hair I'd longed for for the last 19 years (esp. now that my hair is still very fine, but also quite thin now due to Lupus.) My first cowash was L'Oreal's Evercurl Hydrocharge. I had no idea where to go from there. The only other cowashes are available in my area are Eden, As I Am, Shea Moisture, Suave and Renpure (in either Pomegranate or Rosemary.) Wen, of course, could be ordered but it's *so* expensive! I rolled the dice and decided to start with Eden. It cleanses beautifully, the formula soaks right in, it rinses out very cleanly, you can use it all week w/o requiring a clarifying wash...but, it doesn't moisturize well enough to go w/o using a conditioner afterward (and, honestly, it still needs a bit of moisture.) Definitely no 3a/Botticelli curls here unless I end up wash/condition a minimum of at least 2x/day. It smells divine, though (and it ends up scenting your pillowcases!) And it's vegan and sulfate-free. The consistency of Eden is about 1/4 thinner than L'Oreal and As I Am (which I'm trying this week since it's available nearby.) It's a non-foaming formula. I would be *much* more helpful to have it in a pump-style bottle instead of a jar, though, and I ended up using more product than usual to moisturize as best as possible. I'm thinking it may've worked better had I used the full line of products instead of relying only on the cowash. (Climates w/ higher humidity and softer water may have better results.)
I have fine 3B hair and I used to "co wash" using conditioner but this is the first co wash I've used. At first Ididnt like it because my hair felt a bit coated. I bought this in July last year and its lasted till now, (April) I would use it once a week or just shampoo and not use it at all. After shampooing several times a week with the Eb jojoba shampoo conditioner my hair started to feel a bit dry, which it tends to do and I used this co wash several times a week for 2 weeks and OMG my hair was soo soft and smooth and well behaved, it was unbelievable, so much so that my mom kept asking what I'd done to my hair and she usually tells me to straighten my hair so (Y) (Y). I'm thinking of trying another co wash just to compare but I'd def get this again. I use the EB coconut leave in after
I absolutely love the way my 4B/C have felt during and after using this product. I ordered it just to try something new, and it worked out. I have never felt my hair coil while rinsing, until I used this cowash. I love it, as well as the leave-in conditioner!
LOVE this stuff! I have 2B hair, long, very fine, and it goes limp easily. This cowash leaves my hair clean and light even with my (very) hard water. I'm not a big fan of coconut fragrances but this is a light fragrance, not over powering that doesn't linger. I've used it for two years and I'll keep coming back for more.
Loved this cowash!! The product kinda melts into hair. With it being a cowash there are hardly any suds, but hair felt soft, hydrated, and clean afterwards.
I really like this cowash. It smells great and leaves my hair very soft. Even though it says no suds, it foams up and I like that about it.
This is my favorite co-wash by far! It does the job and leaves my hair soft and silky! Here is how I use it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=604f1Z29be8
I bought this recently because I was in need for a co-wash and hated the ones I have used in the past. Eden has definitely one satisfied customer. My hair not only felt silky smooth and soft, but it smelled great. I am soooo addicted to coconut smelling products and I will add this product is not over bearing with its coconut scent. I received a free sample of the deep conditioning cream and cannot wait to use it as well. My 3b/3c curls get pretty thirsty and Eden does the trick. I will re-purchase.
This product is the bomb. After one use it made my hair much silkieeeeerrrr. Definitely repurchasing.
My texture is 3c/4a...I really liked this product! I was surprised how moisturized my hair felt after using it. It's very creamy and it smells really good! My only con is that it doesn't clean my scalp completely and my scalp starts to itch sooner than it would with other cleansers. However, because of the price and the moisture factor I would most definitely make this a staple cowash. I would use this in between shampoo washes.
4B I just tried the Eden Co wash Cleanser last night and I absolutely love it!!!!!!! My hair was so soft anc manageable after the wash. I will purchase again Thank You Eden
Im sold! Slip, detangles, makes my hair extremely soft and them curls was popping! I will make this a staple product in my hair regimen. Just enough lather and my hair fetl clean. Keeper! :)
This is a very cleansing co wash that does a good job of detangling my hair but i cant use this too often because the protein in it makes my hair hard. Following this with a moisturizing conditioner for me is a must.
This is by far my HG cowash. It cleanses very well but still leaves my hair soft. It also banishes frizz and tangles like nobody's business! Will continue to buy! I have 3c hair, low porosity.
I love the smell, price/size, and the accessibility. However, the formula isn't thick enough for me. I prefer As I Am Coconut CoWash. I do love a few other EBW products though
just one thing: i will never change this! it is my staple for life! easy for detangling, wonderful slip, remove all the hair built up,...it's just amazing. I also use it for my moisturizing mask! it leaves my 4b hair so so soft!love it! i highly recommend that product!
4C HAIR...nothing but kinks, fine, medium density, color-treated. Tried this over the weekend and so far so good. Its way too early to tell whether or not this will help with my on going dry scalp issues but I will say my hair is soft. I washed with this twice then followed up with a rinse conditioner just to be safe. My hair detangled well and has much more definition. I do the same routine every week and I notice a difference..its bouncier too!. I dont pay attention to smells unless it is easy strong, this one isnt. Creamy and rich, spreads nice. Will probably keep this in rotation with regular shampoo.
I liked it, especially after all cones were removed. Detangled well, smells nice not to strong and does not linger.. Good shampoo as long as you are not using cones.
I purchased this product because I had heard good things about it. I tried it and love it. I ended up buying the set and so far I am enjoying it.
My hair loves this co-wash. I like it better than As I am co-wash because this one is much thicker. A little goes a long way. It is more creamier too, and my hair stays soft.
MY HAIR LOVES THIS PRODUCT LINE!!!! I notice not to many 4c hair types post reviews so I want to make sure I post on EVERYTHING I try hoping it will help someone else like me who uses reviews to help "assist" with product choices. I was first introduced to this product thru my daughter who has been using the Peppermint line for months to assist with dry scalp control. I researched the ingredients, read the reviews and FINALLY decided to order them when Curl mart featured it as a buy and get the Pudding soufflé for free. I thought to myself that was a PERFECT time to try them. I used the Co Wash along with the Jojobo Monoi All Natural Deep conditioner, styled with the All Natural Coconut Leave in conditioner and the All Natural Pudding Souffle and my oil mixture of coconut and castor oil for sealing. As I applied it, I noticed how soft my hair became and felt "clean" without feeling stripped. My curl definition with FABULOUS!! My hair was SUPER SOFT and remained that way for weeks!!!! I (accidently) left the Jojobo Monoi on my hair for two hours, but that turned out to be a GREAT thing because when I rinsed it my hair felt even softer!! This product line is now at the top of my list of MUST HAVES along with the Oyin Handmade line. I stock up every time I find them on sale. GREAT JOB EDEN!!!!
I love this product. It leaves my hair soft and moisturized. I highly recommend it for people of my type hair which is 4a.
Despite loving the As I Am cowash, I decided to give this a try based on all the excellent reviews and I'm sold! It works just as well, smells wonderful, and I've found that it requires far less product than As I Am to coat my hair, so it's much more cost effective. I would highly recommend it!
I love this product, i have been using it for more than 6 months maybe almost a year, but this is a staple for me. i use this as a conditioner after i shampoo my hair and i leave it in for the rest of my shower. i rinse it out at the end. it smells great and adds a lot of slip to my hair. The only thing i would say to change would be the packaging because it is quite annoying trying to scoop product out in the shower without getting water in the container
This co-wash is awesome! The product is thick and creamy and provides great slip. It has a viscosity of a body cream, but a little bit runnier. My hair felt soft, clean and moisturized after washing out. It comes with a lot of product that will definitely last a few washes even with thick, long hair. The package comes in a tub that is easy to open with dry hands. The product is easy to get out, even with my chubby fingers. With wet hands, this product is a nightmare to open. The wide mouth allows water to get inside. It has an odd artificially sweet coconut smell that I’m not a fan of. The smell doesn't last long or linger in the hair though. Overall, I would recommend it and buy it again! In comparison to As I Am, I couldn't pick! You can’t go wrong with either!
This product is one of the best co wash I've used. A little goes a long way and it leaves my hair clean and easy to manage. Its a shame I live in the Uk and it is not sold here! Good product!!!
As someone who use to detangle with a comb, transitioned to finger detangling, and now has reverted back to a comb, I would like to preface my review with the fact that slip expectation tend to vary depending on how you detangle. As someone with fine, medium density 3c/4a coils, I enjoyed detangling my hair with this product and a shower comb. It was VERY creamy! The experience was great. Although most cowashes are very gentle in cleaning the hair, that is all they tend to do, clean. With most cowashes the hair is not left dry but it is not left soft. THIS cowash leaves your hair feeling soft and nourished! With most cowashes, I do not feel comfortable forgoing deep conditioning afterwards but this is not the case here! This is the best cowash I have used thus far. The slip was great, a little goes a VERY long way, and my hair was left extremely soft. Although you are instructed to apply to wet hair, I also encourage you to do the same in addition to wetting the hair again after applying. This helps to activate the cowash a little more. I hope this helps someone!
I was so excited to try this on my 4b fine hair and was I every so disappointed. This stripped my hair and made my normally soft and manageable hair, hard and brittle.
Hated this product. I have long, 3B mixed-race hair and this product left my curls very dry, undefined and frizzy. My hair felt like tumbleweed and I can't remember a time that my hair was ever drier than after I used this product. I followed it with the Eden Body Works coconut leave in and that was just as bad.
I bought this when i went to the states in feb! I am gutted i didnt stock up! this product is amazing! leaves my hair soft and feeling clean but not too clean! i have heard if you use it twice in one wash it can make your hair feel dry but i only use it once and it does the job!! downside is its not available in the UK :(
Makes my hair feel clean. My curls soak it all up and they were extra defined in the shower.
This is a nice product! Suds up a bit. A little goes a long way. Light coconut scent. I use a spoon to scoop from container. Doesn't have as much slip as AIAM, but you use less. Hair and scalp definitely felt clean. Works well with my 4a/b natural hair.
I was not thrilled with this product. First, the packaging is awful. The tub is wide and difficult to hold in your hand and scoop out product. I do not have a place to set the tub down in my shower, so holding, scooping and closing the tub is a difficult process. I don't like the smell of this product - it smells unnatural. I also found that it tangled my hair and left it dry. I have 3B long hair.
This is the best cleansing conditioner I've ever used, even better than Wen. It has so much slip and my scalp and hair feel clean without feeling stripped. My hair is soft and manageable after rinsing out.
Best Cowash I've tried!! It smells amazing! Like coconuts and pineapples. It cleanses my hair really well and my curls feel rejuvenated and hydrated like crazy. I love this cowash it's definitely in my H.G. list now!!
I am IN LOVE. Best co-wash I have ever tried. It leaves my hair soft, moisturized and clean (not squeaky clean, but really clean!). It doesn't even feel like a co-wash, it feels like a deep conditioner that also cleans your hair.
I really like this cowash, it just needs to be in a pump jar! you only need a little bit and the smell isn't overpowering like as i am.....
IT'S A YES!!!! I was hesitant about trying the Eden CoWash bc I was NOT a fan of the Eden Jojoba Shampoo. This cowash made my hair sooo smooth and buttery soft. Smells great too! I would give it five stars if it came in a bottle form.
Great product. Even works well on Caucasian hair. It leaves hair soft and silky yet clean but not squeaky clean.
One word "Amazing" it smells so yummy and it cleans, moisturizes and detangles at the same time.
I am in LOVE! After being disappointed with the As I Am co-wash (it made my hair break off and brittle. I wrote a review and everything) it was hard to trust another co-wash again. However, I am so pleased with how soft and gentle this product is. Considering it is just a co-wash, it didn't make my scalp feel super duper clean. See, I am in love with castor oil. Cowashing my hair isn't quite enough to remove the thick oil from my scalp completely. That is expected. However, it completely rejuvenates my hair strands after a week's worth of a very neglected twist out. I love this product for a gentle cleansing (although I always keep a moisturizing shampoo on the side) and it has become part of my staple.
Love this product so much, I had to provide a review. I had been using As I Am Coconut Cowash which worked fine for me but after one use of the Eden Cowash, I was sold on it. There was a definite difference. My hair was soft as soon as I applied the product and didn't need additional conditioning after although I opted for it anyway. It had enough slip for me to finger-detangle my hair. The best part is that is optimally pH balanced (tested at a 5) for cleansing. I give this product 2 thumbs of...definitely added to my HG.
This product is phenomenal! It smells yummy, is easy to work with, and really makes my curls pop. This will definitely remain a staple in my winter hair care arsenal :-)
This stuff is amazing for my 3b hair. I picked it up at Sally Beauty Supply when I was looking for the As I Am cowash. It makes my hair very soft and I love the fact that it is CG friendly.
this is the first actual cowash ive used and very impressed especially at this price point. just purchased second jar since i plan to primarily cowash during cooler months, cowash 3 wks then clarify the fourths wk. during warmer months i cowashed every other wk. so much better than using a cheapie condish, doesnt leave build up. i can actually detangle well with it, dont really need another conditioner after, and then use a moisture rich leave in. still may purchase the CJ cleansing condish for an alternative and comparison. but this is a keeper and works well for my daughter. my hair: low- med porosity, recently colored, curly kinky corkscrews
I was using the As I Am Coconut CoWash Cleansing Conditioner (which I still recommend), but decided to switch it up. This product is very similar to As I Am, but it's thicker. It also doesn't leave my hair as squeaky clean like As I Am does which is what I prefer... I don't want my hair TOO clean. I would try either one. But I really like this product. WIll more than likely repurchase over As I Am. =)
I love this conditioner! At first I was unsure about it because in the past, coconut anything (including EVCO) dried my hair out. However, this didn't dry out my hair, but left it feeling really soft. I take pride in how soft my hair is, so that was a major plus. But what completely sold me on it was the fact that it made it easy for me to detangle. I have very thick, dense hair so detangling can be a pain for me, especially since I'm growing my hair out and it has just gotten longer; anything that makes the detangling process easier will quickly become one of my staple products. This is also a CG Friendly product, and I hope that doesn't change now that I've gone back to using the CG Method.
I love love love this stuff! First off it has a light coconut scent not overpowering. It left my hair moisturized and soft. I am eager to buy more products from this line. The price is plus and the quantity two thumbs up! I have used this product with my natural hair in braids or twist.
is sooo amazing. whomever had the idea for this product thank you. my hair felt healthy, smells great and doesnt leave my hair feeling dry.
This is a great product for somebody else but it didn't work that well for me. It's such a gentle cleanser that it doesn't get my fussy scalp clean enough. I wish it did, though, because my hair loves this! Right now, I'm using the Peppermint shampoo in this line to cleanse my scalp, rinse quickly, and then follow-up with this co-wash to clean the hair shaft. The other shampoo leaves my hair a bit stripped, but the moment I put this on my hair it softens up instantly! So, this is a wonderful product. I would give it four stars, but the consistency is really thin, so I don't know why they put it in a jar...it would be easier to work with in a tube. I tipped this over in the shower and lost half the jar...
This is the best cowash ever!! As I Am and others cowashes have nothing on this cowash. It cleansens my waves, moisturizes and is a great detangler. I highly highly highly recommend this co wash!
I bought this at Sally's and love it! It is very moisturizing and has a nice foamy lather. This is pretty thin though and I thought would be better in a bottle instead of a jar but that is all I find wrong with it. It is very economical and works!
wonderful wonderful stuff..i won this in a contest and omg.....my hair felt soft and moisturized...don't sleep on this...this stuff is the truth........
I absolutely love love love love this product. This made detanglng my hair a breeze. It left my hair feeling clean and soft. I was using WEN but I think this will become my new staple. Oh and it smells wonderful. I used it with the Eden's deep conditioner. I will definitely be re-ordering this. I'm looking forward to trying other Eden products...
LOVE THIS PRODUCT!!! CLEANSES HAIR WITHOUT STRIPPING, SMELLS GOOD TOO, HAIR WAS SO SOFT AFTER USE. FOR THE PRICE, IT IS A YES!!!
This co-wash was a wonderful surprise to me. Very good cleanser with a low lather. A little goes along way. I was able to detangle using this and my hair felt clean without the stripped feeling. Very moisturizing on my type 4a hair. I am so glad I purchased two of this product. I use alot of butters and moisturizers on my hair and only wash once a week so for this product to be able to clean and moisturize my hair was a great plus. My hair did not feel coated or dry. Some people expect a co-wash to leave your hair feeling super soft and not have to use a conditioner after but thats just not what a co-wash is supposed to do. Its supposed to gently clean your hair without stripping it and leaving some moisture in your hair. Thats what this co-wash does. If you want to achieve the super soft hair and not have to use conditioner on your hair after you wash then you need to use a conditioner to co-wash with and not a low suds cleanser because this is a low suds cleanser. This product is to be used when you need to get alot of product out of your hair but you don't want to strip it and you don't want to use a sulfate shampoo to get the product out. So for me because I only wash my hair every Saturday this would be the best cleanser to use that will get the product out and not strip my hair. If you wash your hair every other day then this may not be for you because it is a cleanser with cleansing properties in the ingredients and it has low suds with you apply it. Hope this helps anyone interested in this product. Love it!!!
