I was happy with this shampoo. We have well water that leaves a rusty build-up on my hair, and other clarifying shampoos I've tried stripped all the oils from my hair. This shampoo seems a lot more gentle. My hair felt clean, soft and bouncy. After shampooing I used the Truly Natural Deep Conditioner and I was really happy with the results. I would use this whole line of products on a regular basis.
I wasn't really feeling this shampoo literally. I do not shampoo often and have relied upon ACV monthly to clarify my hair but I wanted to try it out to see the results since it had the verbiage...no alcohol, parabens, etc. but it did not lather well in my 4c hair. After I rinsed the shampoo from my hair, it was kinda hard. I had to apply conditioner and some avocado butter to my hair for a couple of days to restore the balance. I didn't give it a 1 star due to the fact that I gave some to my friend who is a 4c natural and her hair adjusted perfectly. So maybe it just wasn't for me.
I dont shampoo my hair often, but I actually liked this shampoo better than the Pantene truly natural cowash. My hair didnt feel dry afterwards, so I think I'll definitely continue to use this. I just wished it didnt have sulfates!
My favorite product from this line. My hair felt so clean after using this shampoo. I've used other clarifiers and they left my hair really dry. I will definitely add this into rotation.
This Clarifying Shampoo is good to use once in awhile because it is very drying and not sulfate free. Left my hair squeaky clean and fresh smelling.
It gave my hair a very stripped feeling afterwards, probably because it's not sulfate-free. Then again, guess it needs sulfate to clarify. I wouldn't use this often at all.
This shampoo work wonders on my oil hair. I use natural oil daily and at the end of the week this shampoo leaves my clean. I like the creaminess. My hair doesn't feel strip of moisture. The only negative is that it's not sulfate free.
I usually Co-Wash, so the was very stripping for me, however it does do what it says it does...Clarifies the Hair! Again, great smell, but would prefer a more moisturizing shampoo for my hair.
I received this product from Naturally Curly for review. This shampoo was good, and it cleaned my hair well. My hair didn't feel stripped like it does with most clarifying shampoos. However, I wasn't pleased with all of the sulfates.
Def not something I would use weekly which is about how long I go between washes. My hair felt so stripped after washing it so after the first time i basically decided I'd probably use this every few weeks to a month
Now this one, this one I did not like. It left my hair feeling hard and brittle. I could tell my hairs natural oils were totally stripped from my tresses. It still smells really nice but I can't use it again. I won't give this one 3 tries because I don't want to damage my hair. The rating is based on the smell, lather, and consistency of the shampoo. A little definitely goes a long way.
I prefer the co-wash overall. I believe this shampoo cleaned the hair adequately, but the other moisturizing benefits weren't as noticeable
This cleaned my hair without stripping it. Hair felt soft before conditioning, even. I shampoo once a week & have dry, coarse, curly & damaged hair.
I've tried the shampoo by itself and with the co wash. By itself the shampoo didnt do much for me. My hair felt somewhat clean, but not where I wanted. Paired with the co wash, they make an excellent team. The co wash cleanses whatever the shampoo didnt, but the clarifying shampoo didn help with product build up. That was a definite plus.
This type of shampoo I use about every 6- 8 weeks, so this did it's purpose. I have to be particular on the type of clarifying shampoo, some brands I have used in the past were a little to drying which cause me a slight problem with dry hair. But this so far seems the right balance for me.
Cleaned my hair very well. Since I don't use shampoo very much I need something to get the job done, and this did it.
I received this shampoo from naturally curly for review and I was very surprised. I'm not really a fan of shampoo but I was pleasantly surprised at how amazing this shampoo was. It cleaned my hair without leaving it feeling dry and it didn't strip my hair. I was able to detangle my hair with this shampoo. It's really creamy and has slip to it so my fingers ran through my curls with no problem. It smells great and the price is great. Even though is for naturally curly hair this isn't an all natural product so if you are doing the CG method this isn't for you. I believe I have found my new staple shampoo.
I guess if you used all of the Truly Natural products you would have so much silicone build up that you would need to strip your hair with this shampoo, but it left my hair very dry and brittle. My hair hated this shampoo
I have type 3a hair, and I really disliked this product. My hair flat-out hated it. The fact that it has two types of sulfates in the top 3 ingredients was really disappointing. I'll stick with my No Poo. My hair made it loud and clear that sulfates are not needed.
This product was okay for me. I neither loved it or hated it. My hair was clean and smelled great. The price is great but I still prefer my more expensive clarifying shampoo.
Yesssssssssssssss! This is why I love Pantene. When they say their shampoo's will clean your hair they mean it lol. This clarifying shampoo stripped my hair to perfection. The buildup was gone and let me tell you my curls were on point afterwards. This is a keeper! I had bounce too. Hmm, yup I loved it.
In comparison to the other products in the line, this is better. This clarifying shampoo definitely removed the buildup from my hair. It didn't dry it out as much as I expected. It smells nice and it does the job. I just don't know I would make this my clarifying shampoo of choice.
This product is extremely harsh but I can understand the need to get out build up (especially if you use their styling custard). I typically stay away from sulfates in my shampoo and this is why. My hair doesn't tangle so I can't attest for that attribute but if you don't need to use something so harsh to get out old product build up, there are plenty of other options that won't leave your hair as stripped.
The shampoo has a nice fragrance. It is a little thicker than average and has a creamy consistency. It did not strip my hair at all, and I only needed a little to produce a nice, rich lather. There were no tangles while shampooing, and I felt my hair got clean in only one shampoo. Great for gentle but effective cleansing of product buildup from natural hair.
I'm super picky about my clarifying shampoos and this one may be a little too clarifying for me. My hair is super dry. But it did get rid of my buildup, so it did what it said it would do.
One of the better clarifying shampoos I've used. Some shampoos basically strip the heck out of my hair and I have to deep condition all over again. This one didn't do that.
I don't use clarifying shampoos that often but do like to mix it into my routine if I've been doing a lot of styling to get rid of the gunk. I felt like this product did a good job of making my hair feel clean without it feeling stripped.
YEOW! There is a difference between clarifying and stripping. I could use my hair to write on a chalkboard after using this product (DRY). When I checked the ingredients before using and saw the double dose of sulfate, I anticipated trouble. I am a firm believer in clarifying, but would not use this product to do it. WAY too harsh.
I liked this product, It left my hair feeling very clean. It helped wash away all the built up dirt and my hair stayed moisturized. As far as shampoos go, this is one works very well.
