While today was the third and final day of the Essence Music Festival, the excitement stayed sky high pumping energy through Downtown New Orleans. The NaturallyCurly posse spent the day strolling the city and scoping the sights looking for some of the freshest natural hair and taking street style shots. First we spent time at the Essence stage in the Convention Center and walked the show floor scoping the big stages and brands. Then we swung through the African Pride Beauty Suite again to chat with Dr. Kari Williams about keeping braided styles healthy and Strength of Natural Director of Marketing Charlene Bastien about the launch of their new Shea Miracle product.
Finally we spent the remainder of the afternoon at “Fierce, Fly, Fabulous” checking out the vendors and catching up with the event organizers about what inspired the event before speaking to a group of naturalistas about the natural hair blogging industry.
