What can be more rewarding after a long week of chewing your nails than a manicure?  Get your nails back in shape with these easy steps. Be sure to work over a towel to catch any nail clippings or dust.

  1. Remove your nail polish, making sure to wash your hands with soap and water afterward.
  2. File your nails by running the emery board under the nail. Angle the board for a curved shape.
  3. Soak your hands in a bowl of warm water for a few minutes. Dry them with a lint free towel.
  4. Using an orange stick, push back the cuticle of your nail and then rub with cuticle oil.
  5. Clip dead skin as needed with nail scissors.
  6. Polish nails with your desired color, making sure to apply a sealant when you are done.

So take a breather and pamper yourself this weekend! Remember, your home day spa is supposed to help you relax and unwind. Don’t sweat the small stuff. Put on some relaxing music, and enjoy a glass of wine or a cup of soothing green tea as you indulge in these easy spa treatments.
