AG has won the coveted Elle Canada 2004 Beauty Grand Prix Award for two of its most popular products: Tech Two Shampoo and Ultramoist Conditioner.
Close to 50 different international cosmetics manufacturers entered 187 products in this year’s competition. AG’s hair care products won in the category of best shampoo and conditioner for color-treated hair in the mid-range price category. Winners were announced in Toronto on March 31 at the awards ceremony.
The winners were selected by a jury of 495 of the magazine’s readers who received unmarked packages of the products that they blind-tested over a nine-week period.“We are delighted to be honored by this leading fashion magazine,” says John Davis, president and co-founder of AG Hair Cosmetics. “We are very proud of the award and the fact AG is the only Canadian hair care manufacturer to win an award amongst numerous international industry giants.” “The smell, the texture of the hair – amazing,” said jury member Julie Roy of her experience with AG. Another jury member described it as follows, “Each time I used this product, I felt like I was on a vacation.” Tech Two Shampoo is a daily-use moisturizing shampoo, specially formulated for dry or chemically treated hair. It is made with a natural herbal extract base and coconut derived cleansers that are gentle to the hair and scalp, while adding shine and condition. Importantly, Tech Two Shampoo does not contain salt, which dries the hair and scalp. Ultramoist is a daily use conditioner that is perfect for dry, flyaway hair. Ultramoist is richly formulated to enable dry, damaged hair to accept and retain moisture. It leaves the hair feeling silky smooth with renewed vitality and shine. It contains silk protein, herbal extracts and Vitamin E to add moisture, restore strength, elasticity and shine.
