I have 3C curls, and for the first time in my 46 years, I have frizz free, beautiful, shiny hair. I LOVE this treatment. I get up in the morning and I don't even have to comb my hair, just run my fingers through it. It's the best thing I've ever done!!

In response to the poster above- it does not alter the hair structure. It creates a temporary bond around the hair shaft that wears off over a period of time, not altering the structure. There is nothing about it that burns anything- it is in no way harmful. You should do more research.

I think it's pretty ignorant for someone to think this treatment is safe -- nevertheless, going to the extreme by saying it makes hair "healthier." Another poster said it correctly above- if it does not contain formaldehyde, it contains another 'aldehyde in order to alter the hair structure. In addition, the fumes burn the eyes & mucous membranes of the nose and cause contact burns on the scalp & neck. Finally, one should remember that anything that goes on the skin, gets absorbed into the body & into the bloodstream, thus adding to your body burden. I have no doubt that it creates frizz-free hair. It's just that subjecting your body to such a harmful chemical process for vanity is utterly ridiculous. Remember, just b/c a product is on the market, doesn't make it safe.

The Brazilian blowqout does not contain formaldehyde- it is different than the previous Brazilian keratin treatments. I had it done last week and I absolutely LOVE the result! For the first time in my life my hair is silky smooth and shiny. Plus, I love not having to worry about the stupid dew points, glycerin, scrunching, etc.. I just wash and go. This treatment is the best!!

This treatment does not contain formaldehyde! The reason they do not disclose the exact components is because it is patent pending and they can't do so yet.

JaneDee- this goes to you, while I am ecstatic that you've done this treatment and has changed your life- I hope you are openly aware of the RISKS this treatment holds for both yourself and the stylist who performed this treatment.
It has formaldehyde and in certain quantities will lead to CANCER, if this is not a risk for you then thats your personal choice. Why I am so against this treatment is the lack of INFORMATION that is being distributed by manufacturers. Some being openly deceptive to their stylists, distributors and finally misleading the client (you!!)-
IF we are all aware of the risks and STILL choose to perform this treatment then that is acceptable- and thats our personal choice.
I have had the brazilian keratin treatment, yes it loosened my curls, but is cancer worth it in ten years, I have to say no thanks.

I'm amazed at the hostility of these comments. I had a Brazilian Blowout done in December and it has been a life-changer. Frizz-free hair for the first time in my life. I can blow-dry it straight in 15 minutes (versus the hour it used to take me) and it STAYS straight. And anytime I want to wear my naturally 3b curls, I just air-dry and there they are, though of course now they're shiny & frizz-less. It's been 10 weeks exactly this week since I got it and there's no sign of breakage, damage, or even of the treatment wearing off. I hope people will keep an open mind because this treatment has transformed my life: I wake up knowing that no matter how I want to style my hair, it's going to be a good hair day.

I'm sad to see this at naturally curly. I'm brazilian and I was curious about what this brazilian blow out would be! i soon realized it's our "escova progressiva" the best translation for it would be "progressive BLOW DRYING" and it's like blowdryng you hair and it will go back to normal little by little. IT'S NOT TRUE. As it's been here for years I've watched a lot of curlies trying to get their curls back and not succedding. Not to mention that it destroys the hair, it'll never get back to what it was.
I agree with the comment of curlybeachbabe... I'm sad to see this here.
