<description>This was such a wonderful article. I need more! I was just at the beginning of understanding my hair which is essential to me understanding what products I need in this mass of products that are constantly being pushed at us. I'm the person who couldn't learn how to drive a stick-shift until someone explained what was happening under the hood with the clutch and the transmission. I need the same for my hair. I look forward to more of your articles along this line soon. I guess, more than anything, I'd like to know, besides water (and not too much of it), what gives hair moisture. What roles do conditioners play? Are they merely for protecting the cuticle when handling the hair? What are oils for? I know that our hair follicle secretes sebum and that several oils (especially jojoba) imitate sebum, but what is it's function? What does it mean if oils just "sit" on top of my hair? I've got more, but I won't overwhelm you. Thanks so much and I look forward to reading more.
