My hair likes the Aphogee protein treatment so I will definitely try the product out...i think i will dilute it some with water to be on the safe side!!! Thanks so much for the extra information...all the forums have been going crazy over this stuff, but I was unsure as to why people would use it if its meant for horses thanks again great article!!

HAHA! Years ago when I owned a horse, Eqyss shampoo was my favvv poo for my horse! I remember spending more on his shampoo than I did on mine! X-) I feel it helped with his mane and tail growth, and I always conditioned his tail afterwards with a deep CO. I washed his tail 1x a week in good weather.

The only downside I found was it gels up and comes out in big sac-like amounts...but since it was in a barn in all kinds of weather, that may have caused it to do that.

I'm going to have to agree with the protein-sensitivity. It does make your hair grow super-quick but, if you're not careful it can break your hair off just as quickly. I've applied to the scalp and as a protein treatment. If your hair doesn't like protein as much just use the product a bit less. Don't apply it on the scalp. Instead, just use it as a DC, once a week.
