I agree-go see your Dr and have them check your thyroid. I started to lose my hair and that was the problem. Once I got on the proper meds, and diet, my hair grew back.

I also have 3b hair. It got less curly as I got older until I get to the beach or a really damp day when I washed my hair in the morning. Anyhow, it started thinning some years ago to where I thought I was developing bald patches. Luckily, I discovered that the severely low fat diet I had been following for ten years might be the problem and I ditched that diet and went back to eating a lot more fat, meaning food that I considered normal all my life before the low fat madness swept society. Did not gain weight on my program and did gain hair! A lot of it, but it took a year or so before the lady who trims my hair commented on it, and because I have long hair, I couldn't see any effect other than a little fuzziness at the crown for quite a while. I was like 49 at the time, though, so younger people would see results a lot faster if that is the problem with the thinning. Also I stopped being depressed, but that is another topic.
