I'm probably a somewhat typical 3a/b though my hair while fine is also thin (have to love genetics! especially since my daughter has enough hair for 4 people!) Anyway ... I LOVE the Jessicurl line (I use gentle lather shampoo twice a week(sometimes more in the nasty summer), and daily conditioner when I shampoo with extra moisturizing cond. on my ends. On days I don't shampoo I either spritz my hair with conditioner laced water (1 tbs cond. mixed with 8 oz water) and awe inspiraling spray and scrunch. (I rotate this every other week with Hair One cleansing conditioners from Sally ... odd but it seems to work for my hair) The biggest thing I can stress is to deep condition weekly. I use Jessicurl Weekly Conditioning Treatment and it has done wonders for my hair.
For styling I mix Rockin Ringlets and Gelebration Spray in the shower when its still sopping wet, pile it on my head in a microfiber turbo twist. Then I scrunch with Gelebration spray and awe inspiraling spray mixed. I tweak the mixtures and routines a bit depending on the season (you can't really name a set season in NC so frizz and cold and dry can attack any time) Once again, it may seem odd or like chemistry but its been a trial and error process that I've been fine tuning for about 6 years now since 1/2 my barely wavey hair fell out after a surgery and I buzzed it all to about an inch long to grow back out at once and it grew back in ringlets! LOL
