That happened to me too! A couple months ago I got my hair cut a little below chin length and it went from 3a to 2b/2c, all my ringlets were gone! Now it's 3 again.

EXACT same thing happened to me when I got my hair layered (and dyed for the first time) last year. I wasn't sure if it was the hair dye or hair cut but it took about 8 months for the curls to get back curled. My hair was curly to the point where mid way through it was ringlets! (mind you i keep my hair long waist length) and then it wasn't anymore...sad times. But thankfully it's back to normal!

Advice: like growing the color out -your hair needs time and importantly the curls at this stage will be defined by the way it drys.

Dear Reader,
So i am 19 years old and i have a real problem with my hair :/...anyways i will try to tell you my story and maybe you can help me out please?

So i have the 3b curly hair. you know the goldylock curl type..kinda frizzy. Anyways I have been straightening my hair for probably about 3 years going on 4 and i dye it every now and then since about a year ago. Also a year ago i let one of my friends cut my hair to kind of make it choppy looking and she shortened the length :/

it used to be around the top of my rib cage long..and ever since she cut it it is like shoulder length hi. I REALLY want it to grow and i put it up into a pony tail from time to time but when i wear it down and i straighten it i wear clip on extensions because i cant stand the way it looks and im self concious as it is.
Hmmmm im just trying to get my hair to get healthy again..and i can wear it curly comfortablly when it is longer but until then im not sure what to do :/

i wanted to do the brazilian blowout but i also wanted your take on that...anywaysh please let me know asap :]

thank you much :]

The same thing happened to me when I cut my hair. I have never dyed it, but last summer it was pretty long so I went to get it cut. After, the top layer of my hair lost almost all it's curl! It went from my natural curl to stick straight. Not even wavy.
