I wasn't sure if it was the hair dye or hair cut but it took about 8 months for the curls to get back curled. My hair was curly to the point where mid way through it was ringlets! (mind you i keep my hair long waist length) and then it wasn't anymore...sad times. But thankfully it's back to normal! Advice: like growing the color out -your hair needs time and importantly the curls at this stage will be defined by the way it drys. So i have the 3b curly hair. you know the goldylock curl type..kinda frizzy. Anyways I have been straightening my hair for probably about 3 years going on 4 and i dye it every now and then since about a year ago.Also a year ago i let one of my friends cut my hair to kind of make it choppy looking and she shortened the length :/ it used to be around the top of my rib cage long..and ever since she cut it it is like shoulder length hi. I REALLY want it to grow and i put it up into a pony tail from time to time but when i wear it down and i straighten it i wear clip on extensions because i cant stand the way it looks and im self concious as it is. I have never dyed it, but last summer it was pretty long so I went to get it cut. After, the top layer of my hair lost almost all it's curl! It went from my natural curl to stick straight.
