My daughter who is 9 has 3c/3b combination hair and it gets so dry and when we let it out it shrinks up and gets so puffy. I'm thinking about loosening the curls but don't want to lose her curls. What is best liquid keratin or using a texturizer(if this it what's the best one to use?)

I've been trying to grow my hair out but since i used to straighten it all the time its very dry and frizzy. i havent striaghtened it in a while and ive been trying to get it soft. but its just so damaged. my hair is meduim lenghth and it has layers, it grows very slow and i want it to grow faster. is there a speical conditoiner or hot oil treatment that can heal my hair? Is there a way to make it grow any faster? thanks for the help.

Shari,

I just want to say that I LOVE Curly Girl and finally feel like I am treating my hair right. My hair used to be straight, but has gotten increasingly wavier with every pregnancy. It is very wavy in the back (almost curly, in fact). But the front and sides have an extremely lazy wave that looks almost straight, especially if I have been touching or "messing with" my hair. Right now, I am shampooing with a sulfate free shampoo once a week. But I am using conditioner to cleanse it almost every day. Otherwise, my roots just look so greasy. Should I stop conditioner cleansing between weekly shampoos? Would the front of my hair get curlier or wavier if I were to stop? Thanks in advance for your help!
