Come spring or summer, I can literally, wash and go. I don’t need to do much in the way of styling or twisting, I use less product and away we go!
But come winter time — it’s cold. Of course, we’re not going out the door when it’s 30 degrees with wet hair either. So what’s a curl to do? Here are some simple tips you can use for the winter months that will help keep your curl pattern, shine and bounce while bearing the chill outside.
Once you wash and prep your hair for the evening cover it with a shower cap rather than a silk bonnet, this prevents hair from clinging and allows it to simply dry and keep the curl pattern.
If your hair isn't dry when you wake up allow it to air dry while getting ready for work in the morning. If it is dry and there are some pieces that need to be "fixed," simply use a spray bottle with water and conditioner mix to set them into place.
