I agree with the above. I have shoulder-length 3b/c hair and it needs a lot of conditioner. A quarter-size would barely make any difference.

I have to use a handful or 2 on my EXTREMELY thick, long hair. If I didn’t, there wouldn’t even be enough to work through. I think this is one of those find out what works best for you things.

I agree with newme. I think our 4A hair needs much more conditioner than other curlies. I use a similar amount, making sure that the ends are fully coated. More on the ends, less on top.

These amounts would be totally inadequate for thick, kinky-curly hair (3c-4b) Drenching my fairly short hair 4a hair with at least a palmful of conditioner is the only way I can safely detangle my hair.
