Last week, I had the honor of traveling to the US Virgin Islands for two #naturalhair events on the islands of St. Thomas and St. Croix. These events, geared at bringing together and educating the natural community of islands, were the first of their kind on the islands. Organized by Denise Benjamin of MissNaturalista.com, the events brought out over 200 naturals from all over the islands to hear an inspiring and educational program featuring Felicia Leatherwood’s Loving Your Hair with Natural Care Workshop, BlackOnyx77, and myself.
It was a truly special experience and I loved connecting with the St. Thomian and Crucian naturals! I saw so many gorgeous naturally curly hairstyles with true island flair while on this trip. Here are a few special curly hairstyles and memories from this Caribbean adventure.
