If I want the look to stay curly, I will roll the twists on flexi-rods again. I only add more product if I feel my hair needs it. I usually don't need any more products for at least 2 days. If I don't want the twists to be curly the next day, I don't roll them. Then I put on a scarf and I am good to go! I can go a little over a week before I want to wash my hair and retwist it again. I can go for a week wearing different variations of a twist out - pulled back, curly, some pinned up, etc. Give it a try and experiment!
