How To: 2-Strand Twist-Out on Dry Hair
Looking for an easy, low maintenance styling technique that will help to stretch and define your curls? This simple style that can be achieved on many different textures from type 2 to type 4.
- Start with clean, moisturized hair.
- After allowing hair to air dry or blow drying it (which will give you more stretched hair”>, separate detangled hair into four sections (from ear to ear and from forehead to nape”>.
- Separate portions within each section and use your styling cream of choice, applying enough to each section to thoroughly coat the hair.
- Separate this smaller section into two sections and twist one section over the other. Continue this pattern until all of your hair is twisted and allow it to dry. It is VERY important that your hair is totally dry before moving to the next step.
- Once hair is dry, coat hands lightly with a light oil and gently separate each twist. You can twist the sections as you separate. For added volume, you can separate the sections further.
