For our wedding, we are going for old vintage glamour meets southern comfort. Think: the Idlewild movie. We both are fairly traditional people, and down to earth, so we wanted to blend a simple, vintage, classic look with the warmth and relaxed feel of the south.

I am going for a classic, vintage look. I’m a girly-girl, but also pretty simple. So, I like a little bling and glamour, but low fuss.  I will likely be wearing my hair in a vintage low chignon, dewy bronzed makeup, and my dress is a strapless mermaid lace gown (with a hint of glitz!”>.

I think the most important thing is to stay true to your style and vision of your wedding. Like in life in general, EVERYBODY has an opinion. You have to take the time at the beginning of planning to cultivate a clear vision, because if you don’t you could end up with an event that does not speak to who you and your partner are as a couple.

My definition of the perfect wedding is one that is authentic, meaningful, and fun.  At the end of the night, I want people to leave with their hearts and bellies full with love and good food and libations, and their feet and mouths hurting from all the dancing and smiling they did!

Even with that said, it is really just a day– so relax and have FUN!
