Now that this isn't there anymore these treatments are very mediocre. Safer, yes of course. Currently, the best keratin treatment is the Cocoa Keratin Smoothing treatment. It's very gentle on hair and has its own follow-up shampoo and conditioner, free from sulfates and other chemicals that can ruin the effect. Yesterday my hairdresser said she was going to use a formaldehyde and ammonia free type of Rejeuvenol Keratin. This was the process: washed hair, applied product, waited 15 minutes, blew dry and flat ironed and then washed and styled. During the blow dry process, lots of "smoke" vapors? filled the salon - this never happened befoe - same salon, same hairdresser. I lke the results but this treatment stripped the color from my hair (I just had color done at the same salone, same hairdresser, two days prior. What was this treatment?????
