Maybe I’ve been brain washed by 50-some years of Madison Ave and Hollywood images of beauty. I can’t seem to find a curly hairdo that I think is becoming. I love everything else about my curls, but I’m still having trouble owning the look, because of my age. Could you suggest a web site with some mature hair do pictures? Maybe that will inspire me. And could you suggest how to frame your face with a curly hair do? And any other suggestions for a DIYer would be helpful!!

I am 51 and just went natural and I have my hair dyed reddish blonde. I do the 2 strand twist and I wear it w/a head band, but I have colors to match everything I wear. I am will probably wear it short for a while since it is the summer in HOT-Lanta. I have said all this to say, YOU GO GIRL!!! Wear it if it feels right for you. I am on the conservative side but hey at our age, we look good because we do it tastefully.

I just turned 50 this year and I would like to know if wearing twists is only for younger women. I always wear my hair pulled back with a headband but I would love a new hair do. Any suggestions?
